Pearl Shah has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Owned Brands – Kay, Nykaa Private Label Brands at Nykaa. She joined the company in June 2023 as Vice President – Marketing Owned Brands. Previously, Shah spent nearly five years at Unilever, bringing strong brand management expertise to Nykaa’s private label portfolio.

Pearl Shah has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Owned Brands – Kay, Nykaa Private Label Brands at Nykaa, marking a significant step in her career trajectory. The announcement was made by Shah herself in a LinkedIn post, where she expressed her enthusiasm for the new role. “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Senior Vice President, Owned Brands – Kay, Nykaa Private Label Brands at Nykaa,” she wrote, signalling both pride and anticipation for the responsibilities ahead.

Shah joined Nykaa in June 2023 as Vice President – Marketing Owned Brands, a role in which she oversaw the strategic positioning and growth of the company’s private label portfolio. Her promotion reflects Nykaa’s confidence in her leadership and vision, particularly at a time when the beauty and lifestyle retailer is strengthening its owned brands to compete in an increasingly dynamic market. Kay, Nykaa’s flagship private label, has become a cornerstone of the company’s brand identity, and Shah’s elevation underscores the importance of this division in Nykaa’s overall strategy.

Before her tenure at Nykaa, Shah spent nearly five years at Unilever, one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies. Her experience there provided her with deep expertise in brand management, marketing, and consumer engagement, skills that have proven invaluable in her current role. At Unilever, she contributed to campaigns and initiatives that honed her ability to balance global brand narratives with local market needs, a strength that aligns well with Nykaa’s ambitions in India’s fast-evolving beauty sector.

Shah’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Nykaa, which continues to expand its footprint in both online and offline retail. The company’s private label brands are central to its growth strategy, offering differentiated products that resonate with Indian consumers while reinforcing Nykaa’s positioning as a homegrown leader in beauty and lifestyle. With her proven track record and industry experience, Shah is expected to play a key role in driving innovation, enhancing consumer trust, and scaling Nykaa’s owned brands to new heights.
