Roku Japanese Gin has launched the Noryo Tea Edition, a limited summer release inspired by Japan’s cultural tradition of Noryo – moments of coolness by water. Elevating Sencha and Gyokuro teas, the gin offers a refined sensory profile, elegant bottle design, and signature serve, the refreshing Noryo Fizz cocktail.
Roku Japanese Gin, the craft spirit from the House of Suntory, has announced the global launch of Roku Gin Noryo Tea Edition, a seasonal expression inspired by the Japanese tradition of Noryo – the art of seeking coolness during summer. Rooted in tranquil rituals by the water, Noryo invites people to slow down, refresh the senses and reconnect with nature.
Following the Sakura Bloom Edition, this marks the second release in the brand’s Seasonal Festival Collection. The Noryo Tea Edition highlights two peak flavours from Roku’s six signature botanicals – Sencha tea and Gyokuro green tea – crafted in line with the Japanese philosophy of Shun, which celebrates ingredients at their seasonal best.
The gin’s sensory profile is layered and elegant: delicate grassy notes of Sencha tea on the nose, rich umami from Gyokuro on the palate, and a finish that unfolds with bright yuzu, gentle sansho spice and lingering green tea tones.
Its bottle design reflects the spirit of Noryo, with tea-leaf illustrations, a washi-paper label accented in green, and botanicals embossed into the glass – a tribute to Japanese craftsmanship and seasonality.
Designed for summer serves, the gin shines in the Noryo Fizz cocktail, which combines Roku Gin Noryo Tea Edition with honeydew melon, lemon juice, simple syrup and club soda, garnished with a melon ball. The serve captures the refreshing, tea-forward character of the spirit while celebrating the vibrancy of the season.
