Suntory Global Spirits has once again demonstrated its mastery of whisky-making, with seven of its celebrated brands earning a coveted place on Drinks International’s Most Admired Whiskies list. The recognition, which highlights the world’s most respected and admired whiskies, reflects both the enduring heritage and innovative spirit that define the company’s portfolio.

Leading the honours is Yamazaki, ranked second, a testament to its reputation as Japan’s pioneering single malt and a symbol of meticulous craftsmanship. Hibiki follows closely at third, celebrated for its artistry in blending and its ability to capture the harmony of Japanese nature and tradition. Together, these two brands embody the essence of Suntory’s philosophy of balance and refinement.

The accolades extend across continents, with Laphroaig securing tenth place, reinforcing its status as one of Scotland’s most distinctive and characterful single malts. Maker’s Mark, ranked twelfth, continues to represent the strength of American bourbon, admired for its smoothness and handcrafted approach. Bowmore, at seventeenth, adds further depth to the recognition, showcasing the legacy of Islay’s oldest distillery and its commitment to producing whiskies of complexity and elegance.

Hakushu, ranked twentieth, brings the freshness of Japan’s forest distillery to the global stage, admired for its crisp, verdant character. Completing the line-up is Old Overhauled, placed thirty-fifth, a nod to the enduring appeal of American rye whisky and its role in shaping the broader whisky landscape.

Together, these seven placements underscore the breadth and diversity of Suntory’s whisky portfolio, spanning Japanese, Scottish and American traditions. The recognition is not only a celebration of the brands themselves but also of the passion and dedication of Suntory’s teams around the world, whose craftsmanship makes such achievements possible.
