UNNIKRISHNAN PILLAI ELEVATED TO DEPUTY HEAD OF DIGITAL MARKETING – INTERNATIONAL AT MALABAR GOLD & DIAMONDS

Unnikrishnan Pillai has been promoted to Deputy Head of Digital Marketing – International at Malabar Gold & Diamonds, effective April 2026. Pillai, who joined the company in July 2023, announced the news on LinkedIn. He previously served as Lead – Digital Marketing for the brand’s international business and earlier worked with OGPay.

Malabar Gold & Diamonds has elevated Unnikrishnan Pillai to the position of Deputy Head of Digital Marketing – International, marking a significant step in his career with the global jewellery brand. Pillai shared the news in a LinkedIn post, writing, “I’m excited to share that I have been elevated to the position of Dy Head of Digital Marketing – International at Malabar Gold & Diamonds.” His appointment took effect in April 2026.  

Pillai has been associated with Malabar Gold & Diamonds since July 2023, where he initially served as Lead – Digital Marketing for the company’s international business. In this role, he was instrumental in strengthening the brand’s digital presence across global markets, driving campaigns that aligned with Malabar’s ambition to expand its footprint and connect with diverse audiences through innovative digital strategies.  

Before joining Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Pillai worked with OGPay, gaining valuable experience in digital platforms and consumer engagement. His career trajectory reflects a strong focus on digital transformation and marketing innovation, qualities that are increasingly vital in the jewellery industry as brands seek to build deeper connections with customers in a competitive marketplace.  

Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the world’s largest jewellery retailers, has been steadily enhancing its international operations, with digital marketing playing a central role in its growth strategy. Pillai’s elevation to Deputy Head underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening its digital-first approach and ensuring that its brand resonates with consumers across geographies.
