Diageo India has appointed Varun Koorichh as Vice President – Marketing, Portfolio Head for Premium and Luxury. Formerly VP Marketing and Category Head for IMFL Brands, Koorichh will now lead strategy and brand building for Diageo’s high-end spirits portfolio, focusing on growth, innovation, and consumer engagement in the luxury segment.

In a strategic move to strengthen its position in the premium and luxury spirits market, Diageo India has appointed Varun Koorichh as Vice President – Marketing, Portfolio Head for Premium and Luxury.

Koorichh, a seasoned marketing leader with an impressive track record within Diageo, steps into this elevated role after serving as Vice President – Marketing, Category Head for IMFL Brands. His new mandate will see him steering the company’s high-end portfolio, which includes some of the world’s most celebrated labels in whisky, vodka, and other fine spirits.

Under his previous leadership, Diageo’s IMFL brands made significant strides in brand positioning and innovation, with campaigns that resonated strongly with India’s evolving consumer base. Industry watchers note that Koorichh’s promotion reflects Diageo’s focus on accelerating growth in the premium and luxury segments — a space witnessing rapid expansion as Indian consumers increasingly gravitate toward refined experiences and global brands.

Known for his strategic vision and creative acumen, Koorichh has been instrumental in driving brand storytelling that blends heritage with modern aspiration. His new role will involve shaping Diageo India’s marketing strategy to deepen brand equity, enhance consumer engagement, and strengthen the company’s leadership across its premium and luxury offerings.

The appointment also signals Diageo India’s continued emphasis on leadership continuity and internal talent development. With Koorichh at the helm of its premium and luxury marketing initiatives, the company is poised to further elevate its standing in India’s rapidly evolving spirits market.
