T.P. Gayatri, a journalist and Chief Sub Editor at Mathrubhumi Kochi Unit, has been awarded the S. The fellowship, instituted by the Kesari Memorial Journalist Trust and the family of late journalist S. Anil Radhakrishnan, carries a grant of ₹50,000.

Gayatri’s project aims to study the struggles and resilience of women workers in the tea plantation sector. Her book, “Kolunt : Oru Penn Samrathamte Athmabhashanam”, was published earlier. The research work is expected to be completed by June 2026, and the book will be published on June 23, 2026.

The selection committee, comprising Prof. V. Vijayakumar, S.D. Prince, P.S. Rajasekaran, Shiller Stephen, Anupama G. Nair, and S.S. Sindhu, chose Gayatri’s proposal from among several submissions.
