India’s textile industry is set for a digitally connected trade experience as the Bharat Tex 2026 mobile app promises AI-powered assistance, smart networking, exhibitor discovery and seamless venue navigation. Launched by Textiles Secretary Neelam Shami Rao, the platform aims to transform engagement and business matchmaking at the global textile showcase.

India’s largest textile event is preparing for a more connected and technology-driven edition with the launch of the Bharat Tex 2026 mobile application, unveiled by Neelam Shami Rao. Designed as a unified digital companion for the textile fraternity, the app is expected to become the backbone of visitor engagement, business networking and event management during Bharat Tex 2026, which will be held from 14 to 17 July 2026 at Bharat Mandapam.

The launch underlines the organisers’ digital-first vision for Bharat Tex, an event that has steadily evolved into one of the most significant global platforms for textiles, apparel, sourcing and innovation. Officials said the application would help simplify the experience for thousands of exhibitors, buyers, delegates and visitors expected to attend the four-day exhibition and conference in New Delhi.

The Bharat Tex 2026 App has been developed as an all-in-one platform that brings together event information, networking tools, venue navigation and knowledge-sharing features into a single mobile interface. Registered participants will be able to discover exhibitors, schedule meetings, receive live event updates, create personalised agendas and access conference sessions directly through the application.

One of the app’s most prominent features is its AI Smart Assistant, a round-the-clock conversational support system intended to guide attendees through the event. Users will be able to ask questions in simple language regarding schedules, venue locations, directions, exhibitors and programme details, receiving instant responses through an interactive interface. Organisers believe the feature will make the event more accessible for both domestic and international visitors by reducing confusion and improving real-time information flow across the sprawling venue.

The application has also been designed to support structured business matchmaking, an increasingly important aspect of global trade events. Through dedicated networking modules, exhibitors, overseas buyers, sourcing consultants and delegates can identify relevant business partners, send meeting requests, manage schedules and confirm appointments ahead of time. The organisers expect the system to streamline interactions and improve the quality of business engagement across the textile value chain.

To support post-event follow-up and lead management, the app includes a Lead Wallet and QR-enabled lead capture system. Participants will be able to scan digital badges during meetings or exhibitions and instantly save organised contact information for future communication. Industry observers say such features are becoming essential at large trade fairs where companies often struggle to manage vast numbers of business interactions efficiently.

Navigation inside the venue has also received considerable attention in the app’s design. Bharat Mandapam, which hosted several major international events in recent years, spans a vast exhibition area that can be challenging for first-time visitors. The app will therefore provide detailed floor plans, booth search functions and stall-level directions to help participants move across halls and exhibition zones with ease.

For international buyers and sourcing professionals, exhibitor discovery tools are expected to play a central role. Users will be able to filter exhibitors by company name, product category and business segment, enabling more targeted sourcing opportunities. The organisers believe this will encourage focused business discussions and strengthen India’s positioning as a global textile sourcing destination.

The application will additionally serve as a knowledge platform for the event’s conferences and policy sessions. Attendees can browse the complete agenda, bookmark discussions of interest and receive alerts before sessions begin. Bharat Tex 2026 is expected to host multiple industry dialogues covering sustainability, technology, exports, manufacturing innovation and global trade trends, making the scheduling feature particularly valuable for delegates managing packed itineraries.

Officials associated with the event say the app represents more than just a convenience tool. It is intended to support data-driven engagement, improve operational efficiency and strengthen commercial outcomes for participants. By integrating networking, information access and navigation into one digital ecosystem, organisers hope to create a smoother and more productive experience for the textile industry at large.

The launch also reflects a broader transformation within India’s textile and trade exhibition sector, where digital integration is becoming increasingly important in managing large-scale international events. From AI-enabled assistance to smart networking systems, organisers are seeking ways to blend physical exhibitions with digital infrastructure that can support more meaningful and measurable interactions.

As Bharat Tex 2026 approaches, the app is expected to become a key instrument in shaping how buyers, exhibitors and policymakers interact during the event. For an industry navigating rapid technological change, shifting global supply chains and growing sustainability expectations, the move signals India’s ambition to position its textile sector not only as a manufacturing powerhouse but also as a digitally sophisticated global business destination.
