Bacardi Limited has promoted Vinay Golikeri to Regional President for Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) and Global Travel Retail (GTR). With over two decades at Bacardi, Golikeri’s appointment underscores the company’s commitment to internal talent development, while a wider leadership reshuffle strengthens its global management structure.

Bacardi Limited has announced the promotion of Vinay Golikeri from Managing Director, India and Southeast Asia, to Regional President for Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) and Global Travel Retail (GTR). The move reflects the company’s strategy of nurturing leadership from within, reinforcing its commitment to internal talent development and succession planning.

Golikeri, who has spent more than 20 years with Bacardi across commercial and marketing functions, has been instrumental in driving growth across India and Southeast Asia over the past three and a half years. His tenure saw the company strengthen its presence in key emerging markets, building momentum for Bacardi’s diverse portfolio. Prior to this, he held leadership responsibilities in Global Travel Retail and brand management at the country level, giving him a broad perspective on both regional and global business operations.

In his new role, Golikeri joins Bacardi’s Global Leadership Team and will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Mahesh Madhavan. His appointment is part of a wider leadership reshuffle designed to bolster Bacardi’s global management structure. Vijay Subramaniam, previously Regional President AMEA and GTR, will transition to Regional President Europe, while Ignacio “Nacho” Del Valle has been named Regional President, Latin America and Caribbean. Together, these changes reflect Bacardi’s focus on aligning leadership expertise with regional priorities and growth opportunities.

Commenting on the appointments, Mahesh Madhavan said, “We’re proud to appoint exceptional talent from within our organisation into these critical roles. They have built their careers with us, progressing from market-level roles to some of the most senior positions in the company, which speaks to both their individual achievements and the strength of our talent pipeline. Their appointments reflect not only their accomplishments, but also our deep belief in growing and advancing leadership from within our own teams.”

The reshuffle highlights Bacardi’s emphasis on continuity and stability, ensuring that leaders with deep institutional knowledge are positioned to guide the company through evolving market dynamics. For Golikeri, the new role represents both recognition of his long-standing contributions and an opportunity to shape Bacardi’s growth strategy across diverse regions, including the fast-expanding Global Travel Retail sector.

As Bacardi continues to strengthen its leadership framework, the promotion of Golikeri and the broader regional appointments signal a renewed focus on leveraging internal expertise to drive global expansion. The company’s commitment to nurturing talent from within not only reinforces its corporate culture but also positions it strongly for sustained growth in competitive markets worldwide.
