The BCCI has invited bids for its title sponsor rights, issuing the ITT on 20 July 2026. Interested parties can purchase the document until 4 August, with submissions closing on 13 August. Eligibility depends on meeting ITT criteria, while the board reserves the right to amend or cancel the process.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has formally invited bids for its title sponsor rights, setting in motion a process that is expected to attract significant interest from leading brands. According to the schedule released by the board, the Invitation to Tender (ITT) was issued on 20 July 2026, with interested parties able to purchase the document until 4 August. The deadline for seeking clarifications has been fixed for 5 August, while bid submissions will close on 13 August.

The BCCI has clarified that purchasing the ITT does not automatically qualify an entity to bid. Only those meeting the eligibility criteria and other conditions outlined in the document will be considered eligible to participate. This stipulation is intended to ensure that the process remains transparent and competitive, with only serious contenders entering the fray.

The board has also reserved the right to amend or cancel the tender process at any stage without assigning any reason, a clause that underscores its flexibility in managing commercial partnerships. Such provisions are not unusual in high-value sponsorship deals, where governing bodies often seek to retain control over the outcome in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Title sponsorship of BCCI events has historically been one of the most coveted assets in Indian sport, offering unparalleled visibility across cricket’s vast audience base. With the game continuing to dominate the country’s sporting landscape, the rights are expected to generate strong competition among bidders, particularly from sectors such as technology, consumer goods, and financial services.

The outcome of the tender will be closely watched by industry observers, given the scale of exposure and prestige associated with the role. For the BCCI, the process represents not only a significant revenue opportunity but also a chance to align with a partner capable of amplifying the brand value of Indian cricket.
