Apollo Tyres has appointed Kanika Juneja as Head of Marketing for India and South-East Asia. With more than 15 years of experience spanning brand building, commercial strategy and business growth, Juneja joins from Nestlé, where she most recently led marketing for the Maggi Noodles category.

Apollo Tyres has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Kanika Juneja as Head of Marketing for India and South-East Asia, bringing in a seasoned marketer with more than 15 years of experience across brand management, commercial strategy and business growth.

Juneja shared news of her appointment through a LinkedIn post, revealing that she had recently completed her first month in the new role. The announcement marks a significant career move for the marketing professional, who joins one of the region’s leading tyre manufacturers at a time when brands are increasingly focused on building deeper consumer engagement and enhancing their market presence.

In her new position, Juneja will be responsible for steering Apollo Tyres’ marketing efforts across India and South-East Asia, two strategically important markets for the company. Her appointment underscores the company’s continued focus on strengthening brand visibility and driving growth through consumer-centric marketing strategies.

Before joining Apollo Tyres, Juneja spent six years at Nestlé, where she held a series of leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Category Marketing Head for Maggi Noodles, one of India’s most recognised and widely consumed food brands. During her tenure, she was involved in shaping marketing initiatives for the iconic brand, contributing to its continued relevance in an increasingly competitive consumer goods landscape.

Her professional journey reflects a diverse background spanning multiple sectors and some of India’s most prominent companies. Prior to Nestlé, Juneja held positions at GSK Consumer Healthcare India and ITC Limited, gaining experience across healthcare, consumer goods and packaged foods. This breadth of exposure has helped build expertise in understanding consumer behaviour, creating compelling brand narratives and developing growth-focused business strategies.

Industry observers note that leaders with experience across diverse consumer categories are increasingly being sought after by companies looking to strengthen brand equity in rapidly changing markets. Juneja’s transition from fast-moving consumer goods to the automotive sector highlights a broader trend of organisations bringing in marketing talent with proven records in strategic brand building and customer engagement.

For Apollo Tyres, the appointment comes as the company continues to expand its footprint across domestic and international markets. Marketing is expected to play an increasingly central role in differentiating brands and building stronger connections with both consumers and channel partners in a competitive industry environment.

Juneja’s experience leading large-scale consumer brands is likely to provide a fresh perspective as Apollo Tyres seeks to enhance its marketing capabilities across the region. Her expertise in combining commercial objectives with consumer-focused storytelling could help the company further sharpen its brand positioning and strengthen its presence across diverse markets.

As she settles into the role, all eyes will be on how Juneja leverages her extensive marketing background to support Apollo Tyres’ growth ambitions in India and South-East Asia, bringing lessons from some of the country’s most influential consumer brands to a new industry challenge.
