Samsung and Cheil India unveiled a striking live demonstration of Samsung’s new Spatial Signage technology at InfoComm India 2026. By transforming the ultra-thin 3D display into “The World’s Slimmest Stage” and pairing it with a mime artist, the brands showcased an immersive glasses-free 3D experience that captivated audiences.

In a crowded exhibition hall packed with cutting-edge display technologies, Samsung found an unusual way to stand out at InfoComm India 2026. Teaming up with creative agency Cheil India, the technology giant transformed its latest innovation, Spatial Signage, into a live performance platform, creating what it called “The World’s Slimmest Stage”.

InfoComm India, one of the region’s leading trade shows for audio-visual and integrated experience solutions, brings together major technology brands and industry professionals from across India and South Asia. Against this competitive backdrop, Samsung used the event to debut Spatial Signage, a new 3D display solution designed to redefine how audiences experience visual content.

Powered by Samsung’s patented 3D Plate technology, Spatial Signage delivers realistic depth and immersive visuals without requiring viewers to wear 3D glasses. Despite offering a lifelike three-dimensional viewing experience, the display maintains an ultra-slim profile measuring just 52mm in thickness.

Rather than focusing solely on technical specifications, Cheil India built its activation around the product’s defining characteristic. The display’s remarkably thin form factor became the centrepiece of the experience itself.

The result was “The Spatial Show”, a performance concept that blurred the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds. At its heart was a mime artist whose role extended beyond traditional stagecraft. Through a carefully choreographed act, the performer interacted with both the live audience and the content displayed on the screen, creating the illusion that he was moving seamlessly between real and virtual spaces.

The performance demonstrated the display’s depth capabilities in a way that product presentations and technical demonstrations often struggle to achieve. As the mime appeared to engage with on-screen elements and invisible digital objects, audiences were given a tangible sense of the technology’s ability to create immersive visual experiences.

According to Samsung, the demonstration reflected a broader shift in the way businesses are approaching display technology.

“Businesses today are looking at display technology as much more than a medium to show content,” said Puneet Sethi, Head of Enterprise Business at Samsung. “Samsung Spatial Signage responds to that shift by bringing glasses-free 3D depth into a sleek profile, giving them a new way to make content more immersive and impactful across commercial environments. At InfoComm India, the live mime act gave audiences a first-hand experience of just how seamlessly this technology can bring any content to life.”

For Cheil India, the challenge was not simply to showcase a new product but to ensure it attracted attention in an environment where every brand was competing for visibility.

“So, what do we do when every tech brand ends up sharing the same stage? How do we get the spotlight?” said Vikash Chemjong, Chief Creative Officer at Cheil India. “Well, we create a stage of our own. Not just any stage, but The World’s Slimmest Stage.”

Kumar Awanish, SVP and Chief Growth Officer at Cheil India, said the objective was to demonstrate how emerging display technologies can reshape audience engagement.

“By turning this 3D display into a live stage, we brought that possibility to life through an experience that felt fresh, engaging and most importantly, one to remember,” he said.

With a blend of technology, creativity and live performance, Samsung’s InfoComm debut for Spatial Signage highlighted how next-generation displays are increasingly becoming experiences in their own right, rather than simply screens for content.
