Among the standout innovations this season is the introduction of Shubh Muhurat Deals, a culturally resonant concept rooted in India’s age-old belief in the power of auspicious timing. Conceptualised by DDB Mudra, the initiative draws from a deep consumer insight: in Indian households, major life decisions—whether weddings, housewarmings, or buying a new vehicle—are often tied to the right muhurat.

Flipkart recognised that big-ticket purchases such as refrigerators, washing machines, and televisions are not just transactions but milestone moments for families. Shoppers are not only seeking the best prices but also the most propitious time to buy. Shubh Muhurat Deals bridges this cultural nuance with commerce, offering families the chance to shop for appliances and other essentials at the perfect combination of affordability and auspicious timing.

By weaving tradition into modern retail, Flipkart is turning Big Billion Days into more than just a sale—it’s transforming it into a festive ritual that blends value, culture, and celebration.

To bring the idea of Shubh Muhurat Deals to life, Flipkart has joined hands with Astrotalk, India’s leading astrology and spiritual guidance platform. Together, they have mapped out a calendar of auspicious moments between 23rd September and 2nd October, when exclusive offers on large appliances will go live on Flipkart.

During these specially chosen time slots, Astrotalk astrologers will guide shoppers on the most favorable muhurat for making big-ticket purchases, transforming the act of shopping into a tradition-infused ritual.

Each day’s Shubh Muhurat will be revealed through live feeds and social media updates from Astrotalk, as well as across Flipkart’s own channels. With deals available only during these limited windows, the initiative elevates shopping beyond a simple transaction—turning it into an auspicious, family-centric celebration.
