CINICATHON 2026, India’s Creative-Tech Hackathon, will convene creators, startups, innovators, policymakers, investors, and film industry leaders on 27 June at NI-MSME, Hyderabad. With expert sessions, hybrid filmmaking discussions, government grant insights, and networking opportunities, the event promises to energise India’s creative-tech and entertainment ecosystem with collaboration and innovation.

India’s creative-tech and entertainment ecosystem is preparing for a landmark moment with CINICATHON 2026, scheduled for 27 June at NI-MSME, Hyderabad. Positioned as a national platform for creators, innovators, startups, and industry leaders, the hackathon is designed to spark collaboration across filmmaking, gaming, comics, extended reality, and the creator economy.

The event will convene a dynamic mix of participants: filmmakers, startups, policymakers, investors, celebrities, and ecosystem enablers. By uniting these diverse voices, CINICATHON 2026 aims to foster dialogue, showcase innovation, and accelerate India’s positioning as a global hub for creative technology and entertainment.

Attendees will gain access to a comprehensive programme through the Knowledge & Networking Pass. Proceedings begin with an Opening Vision Keynote, setting the tone by outlining the future of India’s creative-tech landscape. Expert sessions will follow, covering AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality), gaming innovations, and intellectual property strategies. These discussions are expected to highlight both opportunities and challenges in scaling India’s creative industries.

Hybrid filmmaking and AI-driven virtual production will be another focal point, reflecting the rapid transformation of content creation workflows. With artificial intelligence increasingly shaping production pipelines, these sessions will explore how technology can democratise filmmaking, reduce costs, and open new creative possibilities. For startups and small businesses, dedicated sessions on Startup India, MSME initiatives, and government grants will provide practical insights into funding and support mechanisms.

The hackathon also recognises the growing importance of the creator economy and creative communities. Sessions will delve into how digital platforms, fan engagement, and collaborative networks are redefining careers in entertainment and media. By addressing both the business and cultural dimensions of creativity, CINICATHON 2026 positions itself as more than a hackathon—it is a catalyst for ecosystem growth.

Networking remains central to the event. A dedicated networking lunch will allow participants to connect informally, exchange ideas, and explore collaborations. For startups and innovators, this is an opportunity to meet potential investors and mentors, while for policymakers and industry leaders, it is a chance to engage directly with the next generation of talent.

CINICATHON 2026 arrives at a pivotal moment for India’s creative-tech sector. With global demand for immersive content, gaming, and AI-driven storytelling on the rise, India’s creators and entrepreneurs are uniquely positioned to lead. By convening diverse stakeholders, the hackathon underscores the importance of collaboration in shaping the future of entertainment and creative technology.

For those ready to be part of this journey, registration is open through the Knowledge & Networking Pass, offering access to sessions, discussions, and networking opportunities that promise to define the next chapter of India’s creative-tech story.
