CITADELLE ZERO: MAISON FERRAND’S BOLD STEP INTO THE NO-ALCOHOL FUTURE

Maison Ferrand has unveiled Citadelle Zero 0.0, its first non-alcoholic spirit crafted from 19 botanicals. Parisian studio Tonevo created a split-screen campaign to highlight everyday drinking occasions, with a juniper berry as the creative signature. Shot at Château de Bonbonnet, the launch reflects a confident embrace of the no/low alcohol movement.

Maison Ferrand has entered the no-alcohol space with the launch of Citadelle Zero 0.0, a spirit distilled in water and infused with the same 19 botanicals that have defined Citadelle gin since its inception. The new product promises the depth and aromatic pleasure of the original, but without the alcohol, marking a significant moment in the evolution of the no/low alcohol category.

To bring the launch to life, Maison Ferrand collaborated with Paris-based studio Tonevo, asking them to capture the essence of Citadelle in just twenty seconds. The creative solution was a split-screen concept, inspired by the two zeroes in the product’s name. Each side of the frame represents one zero, unfolding everyday drinking occasions—a terrace, a bar, a laid table—where Citadelle Zero feels at home. The campaign’s final flourish is a juniper berry settling between the zeroes, symbolically signing off on the product with what Tonevo calls the “juniper berry touch.”

Shot at Château de Bonbonnet, the film anchors Citadelle Zero in a distinctly French setting, with Charentais stone and natural light reinforcing the brand’s identity and quiet confidence. The campaign has been adapted for multiple markets, including France, the UK, Spain and Italy, reflecting Maison Ferrand’s ambition to position Citadelle Zero as a global contender in the fast-growing non-alcoholic sector.

For Tonevo, the project builds on its growing portfolio of premium brand collaborations, following its Belliroi Gin campaign tied to the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris. The studio’s approach—rooted in finding the right idea and telling detail—has once again delivered a creative direction that serves both brand and product.

Citadelle Zero 0.0 is more than a new expression; it is a statement of intent. As the no/low alcohol movement matures, Maison Ferrand has crafted a product that speaks to contemporary drinking culture, offering integrity, craft and pleasure in equal measure.
