Reliance TRENDS and Plus One Design bring the spirit of Durga Puja to contemporary fashion with ‘Trends Hopping – 5 Days. 5 Looks’. Featuring five Bengali influencers, the campaign celebrates courage, energy, sweetness, individuality and magic, while blending cultural heritage, music and modern style through a vibrant celebration of womanhood.
Durga Puja has long been a celebration of strength, femininity, creativity and cultural identity. This year, Reliance TRENDS has brought those qualities into the world of contemporary fashion through a campaign that proposes a simple yet powerful idea: there is a bit of Durga Ma in every woman. Created by Plus One Design, the campaign transforms that thought into a colourful five-day journey through fashion, personality and Bengali culture.
Titled ‘Trends Hopping – 5 Days. 5 Looks’, the campaign features five Bengali influencers drawn from the worlds of acting, singing, dance and fashion. Rather than presenting a single definition of contemporary womanhood, the campaign embraces five distinctive personalities, each represented through an individual look and character. The result is a fashion narrative that connects the timeless symbolism of Durga with the many ways women express themselves today.
Actor Susmita takes on the identity of ‘Mohomoyee – The Magical One’, bringing an element of mystery and enchantment to the campaign. Srijita represents ‘Sahoshi – The Brave One’, reflecting courage and determination. Sinjini appears as ‘Agun – The Fiery One’, embodying passion and intensity. Tithi becomes ‘Chhatpote – The Energetic One’, celebrating spontaneity and dynamism, while Sanjeeta represents ‘Mishti – The Sweet One’, offering a softer expression of femininity and warmth.
Together, the five personalities create a portrait of womanhood that moves beyond conventional fashion advertising. Each character becomes a different interpretation of the Durga within – a reminder that strength can take many forms, from courage and passion to energy, charm and individuality.
The campaign also introduces a musical dimension to the festive narrative. Sanjeeta lends her voice to a fresh rendition of the iconic Bengali folk song ‘Sundari Komola’, adding a contemporary musical layer to a cultural reference familiar to generations. The combination of traditional music, modern styling and digital storytelling helps the campaign position Durga Puja not merely as a festival, but as a living cultural expression that continues to evolve.
For Reliance TRENDS, the campaign is the second film created under its broader platform, ‘Tradition Never Looked This Trendy’. The platform seeks to place traditional cultural references within a contemporary fashion environment, allowing heritage and modernity to coexist rather than treating them as opposing ideas.
The campaign’s visual and narrative language is particularly suited to today’s social media-driven fashion culture, where audiences increasingly respond to personality, authenticity and cultural relevance alongside products. By placing five recognisable individualities at the centre of the story, TRENDS turns fashion into a vehicle for self-expression rather than simply a showcase of clothing.
At its heart, the campaign is an invitation to celebrate difference. ‘Trends Hopping – 5 Days. 5 Looks’ suggests that there is no single way to embody the spirit of Durga. Every woman can carry her own version of the goddess – magical, brave, fiery, energetic or sweet. In doing so, Reliance TRENDS and Plus One Design create a festive campaign where culture meets individuality, tradition meets style, and Durga Puja becomes a celebration of the many faces of modern womanhood.
