Epoch is opening its archives with a new #ThrowbackThursdays series, revisiting standout creative projects that have shaped its portfolio. The first spotlight falls on Pukpip, a frozen chocolate-covered banana brand once known as Diana’s Bananas, which the agency reimagined from the ground up.
The brief was described by Epoch as “delicious” and “our most bananas yet,” reflecting both the playful nature of the product and the creative challenge it posed. The team began by distilling the brand essence into a single idea: celebrating balance. This concept guided every stage of development, from workshops to design execution.
Epoch’s work encompassed renaming the brand, crafting a distinctive brandmark, and establishing a cohesive illustration style and colour palette. The packaging system was designed not only to unify the range but also to accommodate future variants, ensuring shelf impact and clarity across formats. Beyond packaging, the agency built a broader brand world that could flex across communications and consumer touchpoints.
The transformation of Diana’s Bananas into Pukpip demonstrates Epoch’s ability to combine strategic thinking with creative flair. By embedding balance into the brand’s DNA, the agency created a playful yet credible identity that resonates with consumers while standing out in the frozen treats category.
As Epoch continues its #ThrowbackThursdays series, the Pukpip project sets the tone for how the agency intends to celebrate its past work—projects that may have gone unspoken at the time but remain pivotal in showcasing its creative range.
