FOR THE RESTLESS: ŠKODA’S KYLAQ SPORTLINE FINDS ITS BEAT

Škoda Auto India and BBH India have unveiled the ‘For the Restless’ campaign for the new Kylaq Sportline, pairing the SUV’s dynamic character with Khasi rapper Meba’s high-energy soundtrack. With over 75,000 Kylaqs sold, the Sportline marks a bold new chapter in the model’s growth story.

What does restlessness sound like? For Škoda Auto India and BBH India, it is the rhythm of a tapping foot that transforms into the surge of an accelerator. Their new campaign, ‘For the Restless’, positions the Kylaq Sportline as the SUV for a generation unwilling to follow the prescribed path, instead carving out its own.

The campaign’s centrepiece is a high-energy film that captures the restless spirit of today’s drivers. It is not just about speed or style, but about attitude — a refusal to settle, a determination to move forward. The film’s soundtrack, led by Meba’s Khasi rap, injects a raw, youthful energy that mirrors the SUV’s sportier character. The choice of Meba, a voice from India’s vibrant indie music scene, underscores Škoda’s intent to connect with audiences who value authenticity and individuality.

The Kylaq itself has already established its credentials, with more than 75,000 units sold across India. The Sportline variant builds on this success, offering a more expressive and dynamic interpretation of the model. It is designed for those who want their car to reflect not just practicality but personality — a machine that embodies motion, rhythm and rebellion.

BBH India’s creative execution ensures that the campaign resonates beyond the automotive category. By framing restlessness as a cultural force, the narrative appeals to a wider audience who see themselves as restless in their ambitions, careers and lifestyles. The SUV becomes a metaphor for that drive, a companion for those who thrive on momentum.

Škoda Auto India’s decision to launch the Sportline with such a campaign reflects a broader shift in automotive storytelling. It is no longer enough to highlight features or specifications; brands must capture emotions, identities and aspirations. ‘For the Restless’ does exactly that, positioning the Kylaq Sportline as more than a vehicle — as a statement of intent.

With its combination of bold visuals, energetic music and a clear cultural hook, the campaign is set to amplify the Kylaq’s presence in India’s competitive SUV market. For Škoda, it is another step in building a brand that speaks to the restless, the expressive and the unapologetically individual.
