Home Lands Group has strengthened its presence in Port City Colombo with the acquisition of a second land parcel in the prestigious Central Park District, marking another significant milestone for the Sri Lankan property developer.

The newly acquired site, spanning more than three acres, is located adjacent to the land previously secured for the company’s flagship Central Park Boulevard Port City Colombo development. Similar in size to the earlier purchase, the acquisition further expands Home Lands’ footprint within Sri Lanka’s most ambitious urban development project.

The official signing ceremony was held at Port City Colombo and attended by senior representatives from both organisations. Among those present were Mr Bai Yinzhan, Chairman of China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd; Mr Wang Gang, Managing Director of China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd South Asia and South East Asia; Mr Xiong Hongfeng, Managing Director of CHEC Port City Colombo; and Mr Nalin Herath, Chairman and Managing Director of Home Lands Group.

The latest acquisition comes just three months after Home Lands secured the land parcel for its recently launched twin-tower high-rise development, Central Park Boulevard Port City Colombo. The move highlights the company’s continued confidence in the strategic importance of the Central Park District, which has been designed as a unique blend of luxury urban living and green open spaces.

At the heart of the district is a 40-acre landscaped park featuring waterways, greenery and panoramic Indian Ocean views. The development aims to create a modern ecosystem where residents can enjoy high-rise living alongside nature and recreational spaces.

Home Lands said the investment was undertaken entirely as a single-developer acquisition, reflecting the company’s financial strength and long-term strategic vision. Industry observers note that such large-scale independent investments demonstrate growing confidence in Port City Colombo’s future potential as an international business and residential hub.

“Home Lands is proud to make another strategic investment within Port City Colombo, reaffirming our confidence not only in this landmark development but also in Sri Lanka’s future,” said Mr Herath. “Every investment we make is ultimately an investment in the growth, progress, and potential of our nation.”

Port City Colombo has been envisioned as a master-planned city developed to international standards, designed to attract global businesses, investors and world-class developments. Combining modern infrastructure, sustainable urban planning and advanced connectivity, the project is expected to play a key role in Sri Lanka’s future economic growth and international positioning.

Home Lands has established itself as one of Sri Lanka’s leading real estate developers, recognised for pioneering resort-style residential developments and integrated lifestyle communities. Operating through a network of 14 companies, including its construction arm Heyraa Construction, the group provides end-to-end solutions across real estate, construction and property management.

The company has also expanded internationally with offices in Australia, Dubai and London, catering to both local and overseas clients. Its recent achievements include winning the Best Developer – Sri Lanka award at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards for three consecutive years. In 2025, Home Lands was also recognised with Superbrands status, becoming the only real estate company in Sri Lanka to receive the honour.

With more than 3,750 units already delivered and over 2,200 currently under construction, Home Lands continues to play a major role in shaping the future of modern living in Sri Lanka.
