Leading B2B marketing consultancy I.M.A has continued its growth trajectory announcing the acquisition of independent Business Writing Services agency, Proof Communications, in a strategic move to meet rising demand for high-quality, human-led content that drives commercial results.

The acquisition further deepens I.M.A’s strategic capability offering, integrating Proof’s 25+ years of experience in award-winning writing, tender development, annual report proofreading and professional content into I.M.A’s full-service B2B marketing approach.

Laura Tesluk, COO, I.M.A, said: “I’m pleased to announce the deal with Proof, which further bolsters our already strong B2B marketing offering. The acquisition amplifies our existing capabilities and enriches our market presence as we continue our own rapid growth.

“B2B clients are under more pressure than ever to grow – and fast – but growth doesn’t come from generic, AI-generated content. It comes from big ideas, clearly communicated, with a clear commercial purpose. That’s where Proof excels and why they’re such a powerful addition to our business.”

The acquisition expands I.M.A’s ability to deliver clarity, nuance, and commercial storytelling across every touchpoint – from campaigns and thought leadership to tenders and awards.

Tesluk continued: “There’s one thing on every client’s mind right now – growth. Proof’s expertise in award and tender writing speaks directly to that. They don’t just write; they help clients win.”

As marketers grapple with an AI-saturated content landscape, demand is surging for differentiated messaging and human creativity – qualities at the heart of both I.M.A and Proof’s offering.

“Clients want work that stands out, resonates, and makes a difference to their bottom line. That’s what we’re doubling down on,” added Tesluk.

Proof will retain its own brand in market but assume a co-branded position, with all staff and clients remaining with the expanded agency. The acquisition provides Proof clients with an end-to-end B2B marketing offering.

Chrissy Crust, General Manager, Proof Communications, said: “We’re super excited to start a new chapter with I.M.A, one of the leading B2B agencies in Australia. We’re a great match and can now offer each other’s clients better services plus provide our team with some amazing new opportunities.

“By joining forces, we are taking things to the next level and evolving the new combined agency for the future.”

The acquisition marks a new chapter in I.M.A’s growth strategy, further cementing its position as a powerhouse for commercially driven B2B marketing, strategy, and now, professional writing. The deal came into effect early April.
