JSW Motors is preparing to enter India’s passenger vehicle market with 15 models over the next four years, beginning operations around Diwali 2026. Its first launch will be a new energy vehicle, with subsequent models spanning multiple price segments. Production will centre on a 300-acre facility in Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.

JSW Motors is gearing up for a bold debut in India’s passenger vehicle market, announcing plans to introduce 15 models over the next four years. The company is expected to commence operations around the Diwali festive season later this year, with its first offering set to be a new energy vehicle. Bookings for the inaugural model are likely to open in November 2026, signalling the start of an aggressive rollout strategy.

The automaker has outlined an ambitious plan to launch a new model every three months following its debut, targeting a wide spectrum of buyers. Vehicles will be priced from approximately ₹10 lakh to over ₹30 lakh, ensuring coverage across both mass and premium segments. This strategy reflects JSW Motors’ intent to establish a strong foothold in India’s highly competitive automotive landscape.

Central to its expansion is the upcoming manufacturing facility in Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. Spread across 300 acres, the plant is expected to deliver an annual production capacity of five lakh vehicles. Beyond manufacturing, JSW Motors is also working to build a local supplier ecosystem around the facility, underscoring its commitment to localisation and long-term sustainability in the Indian market.

Among the models tipped to join the lineup is the Jetour T2 plug-in hybrid SUV, which has already been spotted testing on Indian roads. Expected to launch later this year, the SUV could be priced between ₹30 lakh and ₹45 lakh, positioning it firmly in the premium hybrid segment. Another anticipated entrant is the Chery iCar V23 electric SUV, seen undergoing tests in multiple states. Targeting lifestyle EV buyers, it is likely to be priced between ₹20 lakh and ₹25 lakh.

JSW Motors is also expected to introduce the Jaecoo J5 EV, a premium electric SUV with an estimated price range of ₹18 lakh to ₹22 lakh. Additionally, the Chery Tiggo 8, a three-row SUV, could become the flagship model in the company’s Indian portfolio, with reports suggesting a price bracket of ₹25 lakh to ₹30 lakh.

While the company has yet to officially confirm its complete product lineup, industry reports indicate that JSW Motors intends to bring 15 models to India within four years. With a mix of plug-in hybrids, electric SUVs, and flagship offerings, the automaker is positioning itself to challenge established players and capture the growing demand for new energy vehicles in the country.
