L’Oreal is setting up its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, investing ₹3,500 crore by 2030 and creating 2,000 high-skilled jobs in AI, data science, and tech engineering. The hub will focus on AI-powered beauty innovation and support L’Oreal’s global digital transformation.

L’Oreal, the French beauty giant, is set to revolutionize the beauty industry with its latest investment in Hyderabad, India. The company will establish its Global Capability Centre (GCC), the world’s first beauty-tech hub, with an investment of ₹3,500 crore. The centre, slated for inauguration in November 2026, will focus on AI-powered innovation, data, technology, and supply chain excellence, supporting L’Oreal’s global digital transformation goals.

The Hyderabad GCC will serve as a global hub for innovation, technology, data, and supply chain operations, providing cutting-edge tech solutions to L’Oreal’s facilities worldwide. CEO Nicolas Hieronimus announced the investment at the World Economic Forum in Davos, highlighting the centre’s potential to generate around 2,000 high-skilled jobs by 2030, particularly for AI experts, tech engineers, and data scientists.

The Telangana government has welcomed the investment, offering support to L’Oreal. Minister D Sridhar Babu praised Hyderabad as an ideal destination for investments, citing the city’s growing reputation as a major global technology and enterprise hub. The government has also invited L’Oreal to explore manufacturing opportunities in Hyderabad, with Hieronimus expressing interest in future investments.

This investment marks a significant milestone in L’Oreal’s three-decade presence in India, leveraging the country’s world-class tech and AI engineering expertise. The Hyderabad GCC will play a central role in developing technology solutions for L’Oreal’s global operations, contributing to the local ecosystem through skill development and employment generation.

The partnership aligns with Telangana’s vision to become a global epicentre for AI and digital excellence, creating high-value jobs and positioning the state as a hub for innovation. As L’Oreal strengthens its presence in India, the country is poised to play a crucial role in the company’s global technology strategy.
