India’s creative economy is stepping into a new era as Microsoft and Collective Artists Network, through its deep-tech arm Galleri5, unveil an AI-native ecosystem designed to transform content creation, marketing, and entertainment.
In a recent blog post, Jay Parikh, Executive Vice President of CoreAI at Microsoft, underscored India’s unique position in the global AI revolution. He pointed to the country’s developer ecosystem, rapid adoption of AI, and robust digital infrastructure as the foundation for the next phase of global deployment.
At the heart of this momentum is Galleri5’s AI Studio, powered by Azure AI Foundry. The platform integrates AI-led video generation, VFX, 3D world building, storyboarding, and automated production workflows, reimagining how films, OTT content, and branded narratives are created and scaled worldwide.
Under the leadership of Vijay Subramaniam, Founder & Group CEO of Collective Artists Network, the company has emerged as one of India’s early pioneers in AI-led media innovation. By blending technology with cultural storytelling, it is positioning itself as a first mover in building creative infrastructure at scale.
Parikh also spotlighted Rahul Regulapati, Partner at Collective Artists Network and CEO of Galleri5, as part of a new generation of globally ambitious AI builders shaping the future of content and technology.
The collaboration has already produced landmark projects, including Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh, the world’s first fully AI-generated series, and Hanuman: The Eternal, the first AI-generated feature film.
Commenting on the partnership, Subramaniam said: “We’re standing at an extraordinary inflection point, where storytelling, technology, and imagination are converging to redefine what’s possible. At Collective Artists Network, we’ve always believed in building technology that amplifies human creativity, not replaces it. Partnering with Microsoft allows us to scale that vision, using the power of Azure’s infrastructure to bring our proprietary AI tools to life.”
As India accelerates toward becoming a global AI powerhouse, this collaboration reflects a larger ambition: to take Indian storytelling to the world through AI-powered innovation, positioning the country as a creative and technological leader in the global entertainment landscape.
