BBDO Bangkok has appointed Pathida “Jern” Akkarajindanon as Chief Creative Officer, marking a strategic shift towards its Precision Creative ecosystem. With over 15 years of experience across Thailand and China, Akkarajindanon returns to BBDO to lead a collaborative, outcome-driven approach that blends creativity, data, and technology for client growth.

BBDO Bangkok has announced the appointment of Pathida “Jern” Akkarajindanon as Chief Creative Officer, a move the agency describes as a deliberate reimagining of how creativity functions within its operations. Central to this transformation is the introduction of a Precision Creative ecosystem, designed to integrate creativity seamlessly with data and technology to deliver measurable growth for clients.

Akkarajindanon brings more than 15 years of experience across agencies in Thailand and China. Her career has been defined by a commitment to pushing creative boundaries while remaining closely aligned with business outcomes. Most recently, she served as Executive Creative Director at Wolf BKK, where her leadership helped shape campaigns that resonated both culturally and commercially. Her return to BBDO Bangkok signals not only a homecoming but also a renewed focus on embedding creativity at the heart of client partnerships.

“This is not a traditional CCO appointment and that’s intentional,” said Somkiat Larptanunchaiwong, Chief Executive Officer of BBDO Bangkok. He emphasised that the agency’s new approach is about dismantling hierarchical models of creative leadership. “We believe the best work today doesn’t happen at the end of the process; it happens throughout it, in partnership with our clients where creativity, data, and technology come together to drive real growth.”

Akkarajindanon echoed this sentiment, underscoring her vision of leadership as participatory rather than prescriptive. “My role is not to sit above the work but to be part of how it happens,” she said. Her philosophy reflects a broader industry shift towards collaboration, agility, and integration, where creative leaders are expected to engage directly with the process rather than simply oversee it.

Larptanunchaiwong added that clients today face unprecedented complexity, requiring partners who can think, build, and move at speed alongside them. He described Akkarajindanon’s leadership style as open and collaborative, with a strong focus on real business outcomes. Combined with BBDO’s Precision Creative approach and the global capabilities of Omnicom, the agency believes this appointment positions it to unlock the next level of growth for its clients.

For BBDO Bangkok, Akkarajindanon’s appointment represents more than a change in title. It is a statement of intent: to redefine creative leadership in a way that is deeply connected to both the craft of storytelling and the realities of business transformation.
