TVS Motor Company has announced the appointment of Peyman Kargar as Director and Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term beginning 27 January 2027. He will succeed KN Radhakrishnan, the long-serving CEO who will transition to a Non-Executive Director role after overseeing the leadership handover.

The appointment marks a significant leadership transition for TVS Motor, one of India’s leading two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturers with a growing global footprint. Kargar’s induction signals the company’s intent to strengthen its executive leadership with international experience and strategic vision at a time when the automotive industry is undergoing rapid transformation.

KN Radhakrishnan, who has been at the helm of TVS Motor for several years, is credited with steering the company through phases of expansion, innovation, and globalisation. His tenure has been marked by the company’s strong performance in domestic and international markets, as well as its increasing focus on sustainable mobility solutions. By moving into a Non-Executive Director role, Radhakrishnan will continue to contribute to the company’s governance and strategic oversight while enabling a smooth transition of responsibilities to his successor.

Peyman Kargar’s appointment reflects TVS Motor’s ambition to align its leadership with the evolving demands of the global automotive landscape. With electrification, digitalisation, and customer-centric innovation reshaping mobility, the company is positioning itself to leverage Kargar’s expertise in steering complex organisations through change. His leadership is expected to build on TVS Motor’s legacy while accelerating its focus on future-ready strategies.

The transition also underscores TVS Motor’s commitment to continuity and stability. By announcing the appointment well in advance of the effective date, the company ensures that Kargar and Radhakrishnan will work closely together to manage the handover. This approach highlights the board’s emphasis on seamless succession planning, a hallmark of resilient corporate governance.

TVS Motor has consistently demonstrated its ability to adapt to shifting market dynamics, from strengthening its presence in international markets to investing in electric mobility and digital ecosystems. The appointment of Kargar as CEO is expected to reinforce these priorities, bringing fresh perspectives to the company’s growth ambitions while maintaining the values of engineering excellence and customer trust that have defined its journey.

As the automotive industry faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities, TVS Motor’s leadership transition comes at a pivotal moment. With Kargar at the helm and Radhakrishnan continuing to guide from the board, the company is poised to navigate the next phase of its evolution with renewed energy and strategic clarity.
