New Delhi: Shanu Singh has taken on the role of Head of Marketing for Standard Chartered Bank’s Wealth and Retail Banking business in India, marking her return to the institution. Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Singh expressed her excitement with the message: “Happy to be joining the bank as Head – Marketing for Wealth and Retail Bank in India. Here’s to Here For Good.”
Singh’s appointment underscores her longstanding association with the financial services sector. Prior to this, she served as Director – The Economic Times at Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (BCCL), where she led brand strategy and integrated marketing initiatives across platforms for India’s leading business daily.
Her career spans nearly two decades, with senior roles that include Chief Marketing Officer at ASK Asset & Wealth Management, a Blackstone portfolio company, and leadership positions across multiple banks. This blend of experience in wealth management, retail banking and media equips her with a unique perspective on consumer engagement and brand building.
Singh’s return to Standard Chartered comes at a time when the bank is sharpening its focus on customer-centric growth in India’s competitive financial landscape. Her leadership is expected to strengthen marketing strategies that align with the bank’s global brand promise, “Here for Good,” while driving innovation and deeper connections with retail and wealth clients.
