MERCEDES-BENZ UNVEILS V-CLASS EXTRA LWB, OFFERING A PRIVATE SUITE ON WHEELS

Mercedes-Benz has introduced the V-Class Extra Long Wheelbase, a luxury people mover designed to function as a private mobile suite. Blending spacious design, high-end comfort and personalised features, the vehicle aims to redefine premium travel for celebrities, executives and families seeking privacy, refinement and flexibility on the road.

Luxury mobility has taken a step further with the unveiling of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class Extra Long Wheelbase (LWB), a premium multi-purpose vehicle designed to transform travel into a private, personalised experience. Marketed as a sanctuary on wheels, the new model combines expansive interior space, refined craftsmanship and advanced comfort features to offer occupants a sense of calm and exclusivity rarely associated with road travel.

The launch has drawn attention partly due to actor Saif Ali Khan, who is associated with the vehicle’s debut and whose experience highlights the concept behind the model: a private suite that allows its occupant the freedom to simply be. In an era when public figures and business leaders often find their time and privacy limited, the V-Class Extra LWB seeks to provide a quiet refuge away from the pressures of public life.

At the centre of the offering is the vehicle’s extended wheelbase, which significantly increases cabin space compared with conventional people movers. The extra length allows designers to craft a lounge-like interior with greater legroom, wider seating arrangements and enhanced flexibility in layout. Passengers can stretch out, work, relax or hold conversations in an environment that feels closer to a luxury living room than a car cabin.

The interior design emphasises understated opulence. Premium upholstery, ambient lighting and carefully chosen materials combine to create a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. Seats are designed for long-distance comfort and can often be adjusted or reclined to suit different preferences, making the vehicle ideal for both short city journeys and longer intercity travel.

Privacy has also been a key consideration. Tinted windows, sound insulation and optional partitions ensure that passengers can enjoy their journey without interruption. For high-profile users such as actors, entrepreneurs or diplomats, this level of discretion is a significant advantage, enabling them to travel comfortably while remaining largely shielded from public attention.

Technology plays an equally important role in the experience. Modern infotainment systems, connectivity options and climate control features ensure that the cabin remains both functional and relaxing. Whether passengers wish to catch up on work, watch entertainment or simply unwind, the V-Class Extra LWB provides a setting tailored to multiple needs.

The model also reflects a growing demand in the luxury automobile market for vehicles that blur the line between transport and lifestyle space. Increasingly, buyers are seeking vehicles that function not merely as modes of travel but as extensions of their personal environments. Spacious multi-purpose vehicles with executive-style interiors have therefore become popular among celebrities, corporate leaders and large families who value both comfort and practicality.

For Mercedes-Benz, the V-Class Extra LWB represents a continuation of its strategy to expand the definition of luxury mobility. By focusing on comfort, space and personalisation, the brand aims to position the vehicle as a premium alternative to traditional luxury sedans and SUVs, particularly for customers who travel with companions or staff.

The association with Saif Ali Khan reinforces the vehicle’s identity as a retreat within the chaos of modern life. In a world where schedules are relentless and privacy is increasingly scarce, the promise of a beautifully designed private suite on wheels holds powerful appeal.

With the V-Class Extra Long Wheelbase, Mercedes-Benz is not simply introducing another luxury vehicle. Instead, it is presenting a new way to experience travel—one where the journey itself becomes a space for calm, reflection and effortless comfort.
