The Capital Maharaja Group has appointed Buddhi Wickramanayake as CEO of MBC Networks (Private) Limited, effective 1 May 2026. A long-standing member of the Group’s media operations, Wickramanayake brings extensive experience and leadership, positioning him to guide the organisation through the challenges of an evolving media landscape with confidence and vision.

The Capital Maharaja Group has announced the appointment of Buddhi Wickramanayake as Chief Executive Officer of MBC Networks (Private) Limited, effective 1 May 2026. This marks a significant leadership transition for one of Sri Lanka’s most influential media organisations, underscoring its commitment to strengthening its position in a rapidly evolving industry.  

Wickramanayake has long been an integral part of the Group’s media operations, contributing to its growth and shaping its editorial and broadcasting strategies.
