AMRUT DISTILLERIES UNVEILS AMRUT PRAVAS

Amrut Distilleries has launched Amrut Pravas, a single malt exclusive to global travel retail, at the Tax Free World Association Asia Pacific Exhibition in Singapore. Crafted for modern travellers, Pravas reflects India’s diversity and craftsmanship. The release marks a milestone in Amrut’s global expansion as India’s pioneering single malt ambassador.  

Amrut Distilleries has introduced Amrut Pravas, a new single malt whisky crafted exclusively for global travel retail, at the Tax Free World Association (TFWA) Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore. The launch underscores the Bengaluru-based pioneer’s ambition to expand its duty-free presence worldwide, offering travellers a rare expression that embodies India’s spirit of exploration.  

Since redefining perceptions of Indian whisky in 2004 with Amrut Fusion, praised by expert Jim Murray, the company has built a portfolio of over 50 expressions enriched by India’s tropical maturation. Amrut Pravas continues this legacy, with COO and Master Distiller Ashok Chokalingam overseeing careful cask selection to achieve a layered, elegant taste shaped by intense heat.  

The whisky, available only in airports and seaports, reflects India’s diversity and craftsmanship. Its deep golden honey colour and polished clarity open with aromas of lemon zest, citrus, dried fruits, dark chocolate, almond brittle and vanilla cream. On the palate, it delivers honeyed syrup, vanilla custard, almond chocolate, lemon tart, dried fruits and subtle spice, creating a velvety, complex feel.

The launch builds on successes such as Amrut Nativity at Bangalore Duty Free and recent releases in Delhi, Hyderabad and Cochin airports. By unveiling Pravas at TFWA Singapore — a premier global platform for duty-free and travel retail — Amrut strengthens its role as India’s original single malt pioneer and global spirits ambassador, connecting with international partners and whisky enthusiasts.
