TATA MOTORS UNVEILS NEXT GEN TIAGO AND TIAGO.EV

Tata Motors has launched the Next Gen Tiago and Tiago.ev, reaffirming its commitment to making modern design, technology, and safety accessible in the hatchback segment. With petrol, CNG, and EV options, plus lifetime battery warranty for Tiago.ev, the models aim to blend aspiration with affordability for Indian families.  

It was a moment of pride for Tata Motors this Thursday as the company unveiled the Next Gen Tiago and Tiago.ev, marking a significant milestone in its journey to redefine the hatchback segment. Over the past decade, the Tiago has become a trusted choice for more than seven lakh customers, symbolising the belief that entry-level cars can still aspire to deliver more.  

Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Motors, emphasised that the guiding principle behind the new Tiago was simple yet profound: modernity should not be reserved for premium segments. This philosophy has shaped the Next Gen Tiago into a product that reflects what today’s consumers truly value—style, technology, safety, and choice—without compromising affordability.  

The Next Gen Tiago boasts a refreshed design intended to turn heads, while also introducing segment-first technology features that elevate the driving experience. Safety has been engineered with real-world scenarios in mind, ensuring that families can rely on the car for everyday journeys. Perhaps most striking is the breadth of powertrain options available: petrol, CNG, and electric, making it one of the most versatile offerings in its class.  

The Tiago.ev takes this vision further, positioning itself as a practical yet aspirational choice for Indian households. With a lifetime battery warranty, faster charging capabilities, and strong economics that promise the car will pay for itself within four to five years, Tata Motors is clearly aiming to make electric mobility mainstream. This move reflects the company’s broader strategy to democratise EV adoption in India, ensuring that sustainability is not limited to luxury buyers but accessible to the masses.  

The launch also underscores Tata Motors’ ability to balance aspiration with accessibility.
