Chad Michael Studio introduces Stillbound, a brandy and pommeau aged in altitude and oak. Inspired by orchard harvests, mountain traditions, and shared rituals, the bespoke design features quilted glass, leather details, and an oak moth emblem, symbolising firelight, gathering, and companionship. Stillbound blends heritage, nature, and design into a category-defining spirit.

Chad Michael Studio has unveiled Stillbound, a category-defining brandy and pommeau that seeks to capture the spirit of altitude, oak, and orchard harvests. Conceived at the intersection of mountain traditions and shared rituals, the brand is positioned as both a drink and a design statement, embodying the textures and symbols of the outdoors.

The fully bespoke identity of Stillbound is rooted in tactile storytelling. Its quilted glass evokes the layered landscapes of orchards and mountains, while leather details lend a sense of crafted permanence. At its centre lies the oak moth emblem, a motif inspired by firelight, gathering, and the quiet pull of companionship. This symbol, delicate yet resilient, ties the brand to notions of warmth and ritual, suggesting that Stillbound is as much about the experience of drinking as it is about the liquid itself.

By naming and developing Stillbound, Chad Michael Studio has created a narrative that transcends conventional spirits branding. The project is not simply about a bottle or a label, but about defining a category through design language that feels elemental and enduring. The interplay of orchard harvests and mountain heritage is expressed through materials and motifs that invite consumers to connect with nature and tradition in equal measure.

The emphasis on altitude and oak reflects both the environment in which the spirit is aged and the cultural resonance of mountain life. Oak, long associated with strength and longevity, becomes a vessel for flavour and symbolism, while altitude suggests purity, clarity, and a sense of elevation. Together, they form the backbone of Stillbound’s identity, grounding the brand in place and ritual.

In positioning Stillbound, Chad Michael Studio has leaned into the idea of shared experience. The oak moth emblem, illuminated by firelight, is a reminder of gatherings where stories are exchanged and bonds are strengthened. The design choices—quilted glass, leather accents, and natural textures—are not decorative flourishes but deliberate gestures that reinforce the brand’s ethos of connection and craft.

Stillbound emerges as a modern interpretation of heritage, where orchard harvests meet mountain traditions and design becomes a language of ritual. It is a brand that defines itself not only by what is poured into the glass but by the atmosphere it creates around it. In doing so, Chad Michael Studio has crafted a spirit that is both timeless and contemporary, rooted in nature yet elevated by design.
