Billboard India has appointed Preeti Nayyar as Chief Operating Officer, reinforcing its leadership team as it expands in one of the world’s fastest-growing music markets. With over 25 years of experience across leading media and entertainment companies, Nayyar will drive operational growth, strategic partnerships, and industry relations for the brand.
Billboard India, launched in partnership with Other Side Ventures Pvt. Ltd., has announced the appointment of Preeti Nayyar as Chief Operating Officer (COO). A seasoned leader with more than 25 years of experience across print, radio, television, movie marketing, and the music industry, Nayyar will spearhead the brand’s operational growth and business expansion in India.
In her new role, Nayyar will oversee business operations, P&L management, revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and industry relations. She is tasked with positioning Billboard India as the definitive platform connecting artists, fans, industry stakeholders, and brands, while driving the next phase of growth for the iconic global music brand in one of the world’s most dynamic music markets.
Nayyar’s career spans leadership roles at Universal Music Group, Disney, Radio Mirchi, and the India Today Group. Most recently, she spent nearly nine years building and scaling UMG For Brands, Universal Music Group’s culture and music marketing division, across India and Asia. Her work created impactful partnerships between artists, music, culture, and brands, underscoring her ability to bridge creative and commercial priorities.
Her appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Billboard India, which recently launched to document, celebrate, and amplify the extraordinary diversity of Indian music across languages, genres, and geographies. Through editorial coverage, charts, lists, awards, live experiences, and industry initiatives, the platform aims to provide a global stage for Indian artists while strengthening the country’s music ecosystem.
