Envato partnered with artist Max Kolo to stage a daring activation of its “Creative Flow Activated” campaign in New York’s Central Park. Tasked with producing marketing material for Gladiators NYC in just one day amid a live armoured combat event, the project showcased creativity under extreme conditions.

In a bold demonstration of its latest campaign, Envato has partnered with artist Max Kolo to test the limits of creative endurance and adaptability. On 24 June, Central Park became the unlikely stage for a marketing experiment that merged art, technology and spectacle. Against the backdrop of Gladiators NYC’s live armoured combat event, Kolo was challenged to create marketing material in a single day, working in real time from the heart of the action.

The activation was designed to translate Envato’s “Creative Flow Activated” campaign into a tangible experience. Launched digitally in May, the campaign was developed with Brooklyn-based agency SuperHeroes to address the growing complexity of modern creative work. With countless platforms, subscriptions and tools now forming the ecosystem of contemporary creativity, professionals often find themselves spending more time navigating workflows than immersed in the act of creation. Envato’s initiative seeks to highlight what becomes possible when those distractions are stripped away and everything needed is available in one place.

By situating Kolo in the midst of a chaotic, high-energy environment, the activation underscored the campaign’s central message: that uninterrupted creative flow can thrive even under pressure when the right tools are at hand. The juxtaposition of medieval-style combat and modern marketing production created a striking metaphor for the challenges faced by today’s creatives.

Envato’s choice of Central Park, a space synonymous with cultural expression and public gathering, added resonance to the event. The spectacle drew attention not only to the Gladiators NYC performance but also to the process of creativity itself, reframing it as a live act of endurance and ingenuity.

For Envato, the campaign is more than a marketing exercise; it is a statement about the future of creative work. As the industry grapples with increasing demands for speed, efficiency and originality, “Creative Flow Activated” positions the company as a champion of streamlined, immersive workflows. The Central Park activation demonstrated that when creatives are empowered to remain fully engaged, even the most complex and distracting environments can become fertile ground for innovation.
