Sporting Bengal United FC has launched a bold new identity rooted in South Asian heritage and Tower Hamlets’ diversity. Featuring a Bengali‑inspired monogram and kit patterns drawn from local textures, the design blends tradition with modernity, offering players and fans a badge of pride born from East London’s streets.
Sporting Bengal United FC has unveiled a striking new identity that feels as much a cultural statement as a football rebrand. Born from the streets of East London, the refreshed look is steeped in defiance, celebrating South Asian heritage while embracing the rich diversity of Tower Hamlets and the wider community.

At its core lies a hand‑drawn monogram, subtly inspired by the flowing strokes of Bengali script. This emblem, delicate yet powerful, anchors a vibrant visual system that includes bespoke kit patterns derived from textures and architectural details found across Tower Hamlets. The result is a design that feels deeply local yet confidently modern, a badge that players and supporters can wear with pride.
Photographed by Saffi Ullah of GEEKFILES, the new kits embody the club’s grassroots spirit, reflecting its determination to challenge expectations of what a football club in Britain can represent. More than a cosmetic change, the rebrand is a declaration of identity — weaving together heritage and contemporary design to project resilience, belonging and ambition.
For Sporting Bengal, this is not simply about aesthetics. It is about giving voice to a community, honouring its roots, and asserting its place in the national football landscape. In doing so, the club continues to stand as a beacon for South Asian representation in British sport, while celebrating the wider diversity of the borough it calls home.
