Elephant Design Pvt. Ltd. has welcomed back Mayuri Nikumbh as Chief Design Officer, marking her return to the firm with over two decades of design and brand leadership experience. She will spearhead creative offerings, strengthen client partnerships, and expand Elephant’s presence across India and global markets, reinforcing its design leadership.

Elephant Design Pvt. Ltd. has announced the return of Mayuri Nikumbh as Chief Design Officer, a move that underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening its creative leadership and expanding its influence across India and international markets. With more than 20 years of experience in design and brand strategy, Nikumbh brings a wealth of expertise to the role, positioning Elephant to deepen client engagements and broaden its creative footprint.

Nikumbh’s appointment marks a significant homecoming, as she previously contributed to Elephant’s growth before moving on to lead Conran Design Group’s India operations. Her career has been defined by collaborations with some of the world’s most recognised brands, including Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Tata Group, Reliance Group and Nestlé. This breadth of experience has equipped her with a nuanced understanding of both global brand ecosystems and the unique dynamics of the Indian market.

In her new role, Nikumbh will oversee Elephant’s creative offerings across verticals, ensuring that design solutions remain both strategically relevant and emotionally resonant. Her mandate includes strengthening client partnerships by delivering impactful design narratives that align with business goals, while also driving innovation to keep pace with evolving consumer expectations.

Elephant Design, known for its pioneering work in packaging, branding and experience design, has consistently championed the role of design as a catalyst for business transformation. Nikumbh’s return is expected to reinforce this ethos, bringing fresh perspectives shaped by her international exposure and leadership in diverse sectors.

Her track record at Conran Design Group India highlighted her ability to build and scale design operations, nurture creative talent, and deliver solutions that balance aesthetics with strategic intent. At Elephant, she is poised to integrate these strengths into a broader vision that not only enhances the company’s domestic presence but also extends its reach into global markets.

The appointment reflects Elephant’s ambition to consolidate its position as a leading design consultancy in India while expanding its influence internationally. By placing a seasoned leader at the helm of its creative strategy, the company signals its intent to continue shaping brand experiences that resonate deeply with audiences and drive measurable impact.

Nikumbh’s return is more than a leadership change; it is a reaffirmation of Elephant’s belief in design as a powerful tool for storytelling, engagement and transformation. Her leadership is expected to usher in a new phase of growth, creativity and global relevance for the firm.
