FLYNAS TOUCHES DOWN IN KOCHI WITH RIYADH CONNECTION

Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) welcomed Flynas’ inaugural Kochi–Riyadh service this morning with a ceremonial water garland salute, marking the Saudi carrier’s entry into Kerala’s aviation landscape. The launch promises stronger cultural and commercial ties, offering travellers a fresh gateway between the Arabian Peninsula and southern India.

The morning air at Cochin International Airport carried a sense of occasion as Flynas’ maiden flight from Riyadh taxied onto the apron, greeted by the traditional water garland salute that has become a hallmark of aviation milestones in India. For CIAL, the arrival was more than a routine addition to its schedule; it was a symbolic expansion of Kochi’s global reach, linking Kerala directly to Saudi Arabia’s capital city.  

Flynas, a fast-growing Saudi airline, has steadily built a reputation for connecting regional hubs with international destinations. Its decision to launch services from Kochi reflects both the demand for travel between Kerala and the Gulf and the enduring ties forged by decades of migration, commerce and cultural exchange.
