Saatchi & Saatchi India has strengthened its senior creative leadership with Mayuresh Dubhashi, bringing more than two decades of award-winning experience in brand building, innovation and storytelling. He will work alongside Kartik Smetacek as the agency sharpens its focus on culture, technology and brand transformation.

Saatchi & Saatchi India has strengthened its creative leadership team with Mayuresh Dubhashi, bringing more than two decades of experience in brand building, innovation strategy and storytelling to the agency.

Dubhashi joins at a time when advertising is being reshaped by rapid technological change, evolving cultural conversations and increasingly complex expectations from brands. His arrival reinforces the agency’s focus on building creative work at the intersection of culture, technology and brand transformation.

Before joining Saatchi & Saatchi India, Dubhashi served as Chief Creative Officer at FCB Neo India. His career has also included creative leadership roles at some of India’s prominent advertising agencies, including Leo India, Grey, Taproot Dentsu and JWT.

Over the years, his work has earned recognition at some of the advertising industry’s most respected international and regional platforms, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Spikes Asia, Effie India, the APAC Effie Awards and The One Show.

Among the notable campaigns associated with his creative leadership is Oreo’s BringBack2011 campaign, which he led during his time at Leo India. The campaign demonstrated how brands could draw upon popular culture, nostalgia and audience participation to create conversations that extended beyond conventional advertising.

Dubhashi will work alongside Kartik Smetacek, Chief Creative Officer of Saatchi & Saatchi India, across the agency’s creative work and client portfolio. Together, they will help shape the agency’s creative direction as brands seek new ways to remain relevant in an increasingly fragmented media environment.

The changing nature of communication has placed greater demands on creative agencies. Brands are no longer looking simply for memorable advertisements; they increasingly require ideas capable of moving across platforms, technologies and communities while maintaining a consistent and distinctive identity.

Dubhashi brings experience that combines traditional brand-building with an understanding of innovation and contemporary storytelling. That combination is becoming increasingly valuable as agencies navigate a landscape transformed by digital platforms, artificial intelligence and new forms of audience engagement.

The challenge for the industry is not merely to adopt new technology but to ensure that technology serves meaningful ideas. While artificial intelligence and digital tools are expanding the possibilities available to creative professionals, distinctive human insight, cultural understanding and emotional relevance remain central to effective brand communication.

For Saatchi & Saatchi India, the strengthened leadership team brings together experience from different corners of the advertising industry at a moment of considerable transformation. The focus will be on developing work that is culturally relevant, strategically effective and responsive to the possibilities offered by emerging technologies.

As the boundaries between advertising, entertainment, technology and culture continue to blur, the agency’s creative leadership will play a crucial role in ensuring that bold ideas remain at the heart of brand communication.
