Soham Bhagnari has joined Uber Advertising as Head of Strategic Verticals, overseeing the consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical and automotive sectors. Announcing the move on LinkedIn, he described it as a new chapter in his career. Bhagnari brings more than four years of experience from Amazon, where he most recently served as Senior Business Development Manager.

Soham Bhagnari has taken on a new leadership role at Uber Advertising, joining the company as Head of Strategic Verticals with responsibility for the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), pharmaceutical and automotive categories.

Bhagnari shared the news through a LinkedIn post, marking the latest step in his professional journey and signalling a move into one of the advertising industry’s rapidly evolving areas. In the post, he wrote: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Strategic Verticals (CPG, Pharma & Auto) at Uber Advertising.”

In his new position, Bhagnari will oversee strategic initiatives and partnerships across three major industry segments that continue to play an important role in the digital advertising ecosystem. The CPG, pharmaceutical and automotive sectors are increasingly seeking innovative ways to engage consumers through data-driven marketing, audience targeting and digital platforms, making them key focus areas for advertising businesses.

His appointment comes at a time when advertising platforms are expanding their capabilities to help brands reach relevant audiences more effectively. As consumer behaviour continues to shift across digital channels, companies are placing greater emphasis on creating personalised and measurable advertising experiences. Strategic vertical leadership has become an important function in helping brands navigate these developments while maximising engagement and business outcomes.

Uber Advertising, which leverages the company’s consumer platform and data capabilities to connect brands with audiences, has been steadily building its position in the advertising market. The addition of experienced industry professionals reflects the growing importance of sector-specific expertise as brands seek marketing solutions tailored to their particular needs and customer segments.

Bhagnari joins Uber Advertising after spending more than four years at Amazon, where he most recently served as Senior Business Development Manager. During his tenure, he worked across business development functions, contributing to growth initiatives and commercial partnerships within one of the world’s largest technology and e-commerce companies.

The move brings together his experience in business development and strategic growth with an opportunity to work across high-value advertising categories. His background is expected to support Uber Advertising’s efforts to strengthen relationships with brands operating in consumer goods, healthcare and automotive industries.

Leadership appointments such as Bhagnari’s underscore the increasing competition among digital advertising platforms to attract experienced talent and deepen industry expertise. As brands continue to look for new ways to connect with consumers in a crowded media environment, companies are investing in specialist teams capable of delivering category-focused strategies and insights.

For Bhagnari, the appointment represents a significant milestone in a career that has spanned business development and commercial leadership roles. As he embarks on this new chapter at Uber Advertising, he will be tasked with helping shape growth opportunities across three of the industry’s most influential sectors while supporting brands in reaching consumers through an increasingly sophisticated advertising landscape.
