Network18 Media & Investments Limited has announced a leadership restructuring, elevating Ganesh Iyer to Chief Marketing Officer and expanding Mihir Bhatt’s role to Chief Content Officer – Branded Content. The move strengthens the company’s marketing and branded content functions across its diverse portfolio, signalling a sharper focus on integrated growth and innovation.

Network18 Media & Investments Limited has unveiled a significant restructuring of its marketing and branded content functions, underscoring its ambition to strengthen integrated leadership across its diverse media portfolio. The company has elevated Ganesh Iyer to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and expanded Mihir Bhatt’s responsibilities to Chief Content Officer – Branded Content, marking a strategic shift in its organisational framework.

Ganesh Iyer, who previously served as Chief Brand Officer, will now lead the organisation-wide marketing, branded content and intellectual property agenda. His remit spans across the company’s varied brands and business clusters, including News18, Firstpost, Moneycontrol, Network18 Connected and Creator18. The expanded role positions Iyer at the centre of Network18’s efforts to unify brand strategy, drive content-led marketing initiatives and build scalable IPs that resonate across audiences and platforms. His elevation reflects the company’s intent to sharpen its marketing vision while aligning branded content with broader business objectives.

Meanwhile, Mihir Bhatt, who joined Network18 in April as Chief Content Officer for News18 Studio, will now take charge of branded content initiatives across News18 Studio, EBN and ILC. Bhatt brings with him a strong track record in developing marquee IPs and pioneering revenue innovation, experience that will be crucial in shaping Network18’s branded content ecosystem. His expanded role is expected to accelerate the company’s ability to deliver impactful, commercially viable content solutions that blend creativity with measurable outcomes. By leveraging his expertise, Network18 aims to deepen its engagement with brands and audiences through integrated storytelling formats.

The restructuring reflects Network18’s broader strategy to consolidate its marketing and content leadership at a time when media organisations are increasingly focused on building differentiated IPs and branded experiences. With Iyer steering marketing and Bhatt driving branded content, the company is positioning itself to harness synergies between brand strategy and content innovation. This dual leadership approach is designed to strengthen Network18’s competitive edge in a rapidly evolving media landscape, where audience engagement and brand partnerships are becoming central to growth.

By aligning its marketing and branded content functions under seasoned leaders, Network18 is signalling a renewed emphasis on creativity, integration and commercial scalability. The appointments of Ganesh Iyer and Mihir Bhatt not only reinforce the company’s leadership bench but also highlight its commitment to shaping the future of branded media experiences in India.
