BGMI URGES PLAYERS TO STOP OVERTHINKING WITH ‘SOCH KUM, KHEL MAXIMUM’

BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) has launched its new campaign ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum’, created with 22feet, Omnicom Advertising India. Using humour and relatable everyday scenarios, the campaign encourages players to drop hesitation and dive into the game, highlighting BGMI’s fuss-free, casual experience that welcomes everyone, regardless of skill level.

BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI), India’s most recognisable gaming franchise, has unveiled its latest campaign, ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum’, designed to encourage players to stop second-guessing themselves and simply get into the game. Developed in collaboration with 22feet, part of Omnicom Advertising India, the campaign takes a witty look at life’s questionable decisions before arriving at one that requires no overthinking: playing BGMI.

At the heart of the campaign lies a simple observation: people often hesitate to try something new because they worry about getting it right. This hesitation extends to gaming, where potential players sometimes pause before clicking on the BGMI app icon. ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum’ flips this behaviour on its head through four humorous films that showcase familiar situations where a second thought is genuinely warranted, contrasting them with the ease of starting a BGMI session.

By juxtaposing everyday dilemmas with the simplicity of gaming, the campaign underscores BGMI’s accessibility. Whether jumping into a quick solo match or teaming up with friends, the game offers a relaxed, fuss-free experience where skill level is no barrier. The films reinforce the central thought: life has plenty of things worth overthinking, but BGMI is not one of them.

The campaign is set to expand into a larger digital push, tapping into real-time conversations, viral internet moments and the web’s favourite questionable decisions. This strategy aims to amplify the message across platforms and engage audiences in a way that feels both timely and relatable.

Srinjoy Das, Director of BGMI Product Management and Marketing at Krafton India, explained the thinking behind the initiative: “BGMI is India’s most recognisable gaming franchise and this year we’ve worked hard to bring modes and maps which are extremely easy to pick up and play without thinking about the time it needs to master them. It’s casual, it’s instant, and doesn’t always need your squad or a schedule to play. ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum’ is all about that, just tap and jump into the lobby. Anytime!”

Shyam Nair, Executive Creative Director at 22feet, added: “You shouldn’t need a gaming resume to join your friends for a game of BGMI. You play to have fun. Getting good can happen along the way. That’s the pressure we wanted to take off with ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum’. The campaign takes that hesitation and puts it where it belongs, those spectacularly questionable life decisions that could actually do with a second thought. Life has enough of those. Playing BGMI isn’t one of them.”

The films will be amplified across BGMI’s Instagram platforms, extending the campaign’s reach and engagement with audiences. By combining humour, relatability and a strong digital presence, ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum’ positions BGMI as a game that welcomes everyone, encouraging players to stop overthinking and start playing.
