FLIPKART URGES SHOPPERS TO ‘GO BIGGER’ WITH QUIRKY TV CAMPAIGN

Flipkart has launched a humorous new campaign, “Ek Size Bada Le Lo,” during its Big Billion Days Sale. Conceptualised by 22feet, the film draws on a familiar childhood insight—mothers urging children to buy clothes one size bigger—and reimagines it for TV shopping, encouraging consumers to upgrade screens without stretching budgets.

Flipkart is inviting consumers to think bigger this festive season with a playful new campaign that reimagines a familiar piece of motherly advice. Titled “Ek Size Bada Le Lo,” the campaign has been conceptualised by 22feet, part of Omnicom Advertising India, and is designed to highlight the unbeatable deals on televisions during Flipkart’s flagship Big Billion Days Sale.

The campaign cleverly borrows from a universal childhood experience: mothers encouraging their children to buy clothes one size larger so they can continue wearing them as they grow. Flipkart has taken this cultural insight and applied it to the world of TV shopping, suggesting that while buying a bigger size usually means spending more, Big Billion Days is the one time when consumers can bring home a larger screen without stretching their budget.

The film captures this thought with humour and nostalgia, making the advice instantly relatable to Indian audiences. By connecting the idea of oversized clothes to oversized screens, Flipkart positions its festive deals as a rare opportunity to upgrade to a bigger television without the usual financial burden. The campaign thus transforms a simple piece of parental wisdom into a compelling reason to shop during Big Billion Days.

Speaking about the creative approach, Ishan Mehta, Executive Creative Director at 22feet, explained: “The insight of parents buying slightly oversized clothes felt so relatable. The creative unlock was using that mantra, typically reserved for apparels, for a category like large screen TVs. The result is a film that tells a universal story while finding a beautiful segue for Big Billion deals.”

The campaign’s strength lies in its ability to blend humour, nostalgia and cultural familiarity with Flipkart’s festive offers. By tapping into a universally recognised behaviour, the film ensures that the message resonates across demographics, while also reinforcing the brand’s positioning as a retailer that understands everyday consumer experiences.

Amplified across digital platforms, the campaign is set to reach millions of consumers exploring Big Billion Days deals. As shoppers consider their next big-ticket purchase, the film encourages them to think beyond their usual screen size and embrace the idea of upgrading to something larger. In doing so, Flipkart not only promotes its television deals but also strengthens the cultural relevance of its annual sale, which has become a fixture in India’s festive shopping calendar.

With “Ek Size Bada Le Lo,” Flipkart has once again demonstrated its knack for turning relatable insights into memorable campaigns. By combining humour with a practical message, the brand has created a film that not only entertains but also nudges consumers towards a bigger, better purchase—without a bigger bill.
