A long-time company executive, Ashat will lead growth across key markets, building on established consumer trust. His experience spans roles at Himalaya, The Good Glamm Group, Reckitt, Britannia, and Kraft Heinz.
Himalaya Wellness Company has appointed Abhishek Ashat as Head of Marketing for the Middle East, North Africa and Russia region, marking a strategic move to strengthen its footprint across high-growth international markets.
In his new role, Ashat will oversee marketing initiatives across a diverse and expanding geography where the brand already enjoys a strong consumer base. His mandate includes building on Himalaya’s established presence while driving the next phase of growth, particularly in markets that continue to show increasing demand for wellness and personal care products.
Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Ashat described the move as an opportunity to begin “a new chapter”, while acknowledging the deep-rooted trust that consumers in these regions have placed in the Himalaya brand over the years. His comments reflect a broader ambition to sustain and scale this trust through focused marketing strategies and regional insights.
Ashat brings extensive experience within the organisation, having held several senior marketing roles at Himalaya. Most recently, he served as General Manager – Marketing, where he led the beauty and personal care portfolio. Prior to that, he was Head of Marketing, contributing to brand-building efforts and category expansion across the company’s offerings.
Before his tenure at Himalaya, Ashat held leadership roles at The Good Glamm Group, where he served as Brand Marketing Head. In that position, he was responsible for driving revenue and profitability across brands such as The Moms Co, Sirona and BabyChakra. His earlier experience includes a stint at Reckitt, where he worked on growth and turnaround strategies for key portfolios as Senior Brand Marketing Manager.
Ashat’s career also includes time at Britannia Industries Limited, where he managed well-known brands such as Britannia Good Day and Britannia 50-50, handling profit and loss responsibilities and market performance across India. He began his professional journey at The Kraft Heinz Company, working in brand management for products including Complan and NutriFun, before moving into sales leadership roles across multiple regions.
Academically, Ashat holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, along with a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Punjab Engineering College.
His appointment signals Himalaya’s continued investment in experienced leadership as it looks to consolidate its position and accelerate growth across international markets where wellness and natural healthcare products are gaining increasing relevance.
