HUBER & HOLLY EXPANDS BEYOND SCOOP STORES WITH NEW ‘CONES & CANDIES’ IMPULSE RANGE

Premium ice cream brand Huber & Holly has entered the impulse ice cream segment with a new Cones & Candies range designed for on-the-go consumption. The launch extends the brand beyond scoop stores introducing cone multipacks and candy-format bars while bringing its signature indulgent flavours to quick commerce and everyday.

The premium ice cream brand Huber & Holly has announced its entry into the impulse ice cream segment with the launch of a new product line titled Cones & Candies, expanding the brand’s offerings beyond its signature scoop-store experience. The move marks a strategic shift for the brand, which has traditionally been associated with freshly churned ice creams and indulgent desserts served at its outlets.

Developed as ready-to-eat formats suited for consumption outside the brand’s stores, the Cones & Candies range introduces portable ice cream options designed for convenience-driven consumption. With the new line, the company is positioning its products for impulse purchases, a category that typically thrives in retail environments such as convenience stores, supermarkets and quick commerce platforms.

Huber & Holly operates under HOCCO Ice-Cream and has built a reputation for its artisanal approach to flavours and premium dessert offerings. Since its inception, the brand’s outlets have served as spaces where customers explore an eclectic mix of flavours, often blending nostalgic Indian inspirations with globally recognised dessert profiles. The new launch seeks to carry that flavour philosophy into formats that are easier to access and consume on the go.

Among the new products introduced is Jamun Spark, a flavour inspired by a variant previously available at the brand’s stores. The inclusion of Jamun Spark reflects the brand’s continuing interest in incorporating regional tastes into contemporary ice cream offerings, allowing familiar fruit flavours to find expression in modern dessert formats.

The Cones category within the range includes three variants—Belgian Chocolate, Biscotti and Hazelnut Mudslide. These are packaged in packs of four and priced at ₹250, positioning them as premium yet shareable options for households or small gatherings. The cone offerings aim to replicate the indulgent textures and flavour intensity typically associated with store-bought scoops, but in a format that can be stored and consumed conveniently at home.

Complementing the cones are the candy-format ice creams, which are individually sized products designed for quick, single-serve consumption. These variants include Jamun Spark, Belgian Chocolate, Sicilian Pistachio and Mango Duet, with prices ranging between ₹50 and ₹70. The candy-format bars target everyday indulgence and impulse purchases, offering a more accessible entry point into the brand’s flavour portfolio.

The introduction of the range signals the company’s intention to broaden its reach beyond the experiential environment of its physical outlets. While the brand has built its identity around store-based discovery of flavours, the new formats allow customers to enjoy the same profiles in settings where convenience and portability are key.

According to Ankit Chona, the launch reflects a natural evolution of the brand’s journey. “Since launching Huber & Holly in 2011, our vision has been to build a premium ice cream brand that celebrates distinctive flavours and indulgent dessert experiences,” he said. “Over the years, our stores have become places where people discover and fall in love with flavours that are both nostalgic and globally inspired.”

Chona added that the new formats are intended to extend the brand’s signature experience beyond the walls of its outlets. “With the launch of our cones and candies range, we’re excited to bring the Huber & Holly experience into newer formats that customers can enjoy anytime, anywhere. It’s a natural next step for the brand, taking the flavours people love beyond our stores and making them accessible through quick commerce, while staying true to the premium taste and quality Huber & Holly has always stood for.”

The expansion also reflects broader trends within the ice cream industry, where premium brands are increasingly exploring impulse and retail-ready formats to reach consumers outside traditional parlours. By entering this segment, Huber & Holly aims to bridge the gap between artisanal scoop-store indulgence and everyday ice cream consumption, ensuring that its distinctive flavours remain accessible across a wider range of occasions.
