Tata Motors’ Sierra receives over 70,000 bookings and 1.35 lakh configuration submissions on its first day, priced between ₹11.49 lakh and ₹21.29 lakh, with deliveries starting January 15, 2026.

Tata Motors’ bold move to revive the iconic Sierra nameplate has paid off spectacularly, with the company announcing over 70,000 confirmed bookings on the very first day of sales. This impressive response is a testament to the brand’s enduring legacy and the growing demand for premium mid-size SUVs in India.

The Sierra, launched on November 25, 2025, is positioned between the Curvv and Harrier in Tata’s SUV lineup, offering a unique blend of style, performance, and features. With prices ranging from ₹11.49 lakh to ₹21.29 lakh, the Sierra is an attractive proposition for buyers seeking a premium driving experience.

The Sierra is available with three ICE powertrains: a 1.5L Kryojet diesel, a 1.5L TGDi Hyperion petrol, and a 1.5L NA Revotron petrol. This diverse range of engines caters to different driving needs and preferences, making the Sierra a versatile choice for Indian buyers.

Built on Tata’s ARGOS scalable, multi-energy architecture, the Sierra boasts contemporary design, updated interiors, and modern safety and technology features. The SUV’s boxy stance, Alpine glass roof, and signature Tata grille give it a distinctive look, while the interior features a triple-screen dashboard layout, JBL Black 12-speaker audio system, and advanced safety features like 6 airbags and Level 2 ADAS.

Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, attributed the Sierra’s success to its legendary status and the company’s efforts to redefine the premium mid-SUV category. “We sincerely thank our customers for this overwhelming response, which reaffirms the legendary status of the Tata Sierra,” he said.

The Sierra’s launch has generated significant interest among Indian car buyers, with 1.35 lakh prospective customers submitting their preferred configurations. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on January 15, 2026, and Tata Motors is expected to ramp up production to meet the strong demand.
