The North Face has unveiled the Universal Collection, an inclusive outdoor gear line co-created with adaptive athletes and the adaptive sports community. Featuring intuitive designs such as a zipperless sleeping bag, user-friendly tent, convertible brimmer hat and interchangeable camp slippers, the collection removes barriers and empowers all explorers.

The North Face has introduced the Universal Collection, a pioneering range of outdoor gear designed to make exploration more accessible and inclusive. Developed in collaboration with adaptive athletes and the wider adaptive sports community, the collection reflects a commitment to removing barriers through thoughtful, intuitive design.

The Universal Collection includes a series of innovative products tailored to enhance usability for all explorers. Among the highlights is a zipperless sleeping bag, which simplifies entry and exit while maintaining warmth and comfort. A redesigned tent offers greater ease of use, ensuring that setting up camp is less daunting and more efficient. The line also features a free-standing day pack, a convertible brimmer hat adaptable to different conditions, and interchangeable camp slippers that prioritise convenience and comfort.

Each item incorporates intuitive design cues and tactile touchpoints, making functionality easier and more instinctive. These details are not only practical but also symbolic of The North Face’s broader mission to ensure that outdoor experiences are open to everyone, regardless of physical ability. By embedding accessibility into the very fabric of its products, the brand is setting a new benchmark for inclusivity in outdoor gear.

The collaboration with adaptive athletes has been central to the development of the Universal Collection. Their insights and lived experiences have shaped the design process, ensuring that the equipment addresses real-world challenges faced by those with varying abilities. This co-creation approach underscores the importance of listening to diverse voices in order to innovate meaningfully.

For The North Face, the Universal Collection is more than a product launch—it is a statement of intent. By championing inclusivity and accessibility, the brand is reinforcing its belief that exploration should be a universal right, not a privilege. The collection embodies the spirit of adventure while recognising that true progress lies in creating opportunities for all.

With this initiative, The North Face continues to expand the boundaries of outdoor gear, blending innovation with empathy. The Universal Collection is poised to inspire a new generation of explorers, proving that the outdoors can—and should—be a space where everyone belongs.
