Britannia Industries has appointed FMCG veteran Chitwan Singh as Chief Business Officer for International Business and elevated Rahul Mahajan to Vice President – Sales. The leadership reshuffle reflects the company’s focus on expanding its international footprint while sharpening domestic sales execution in an increasingly competitive packaged foods market.
Britannia Industries has announced a significant leadership reshuffle aimed at accelerating its international expansion and reinforcing its domestic sales structure, appointing seasoned FMCG executive Chitwan Singh as Chief Business Officer – International Business while elevating Rahul Mahajan to Vice President – Sales.
Singh will formally take charge on June 15, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience across global consumer goods markets, including India, Africa and the United States. His career spans a diverse portfolio of categories such as food, personal care, beauty and home care, with several leadership mandates at CEO level.
Before joining Britannia, Singh was associated with Godrej Consumer Products Limited, where he held senior roles including CEO & Managing Director – North America & Nigeria and CEO – West Africa. He also led the packaged foods business at Olam International across South Africa and Ghana, adding substantial expertise in emerging markets and international operations.
The appointment also marks a return to familiar territory for Singh, who earlier spent more than a decade at Britannia in various sales and marketing leadership positions. His return comes at a time when the company is seeking to deepen its global presence amid rising competition in the packaged foods segment and growing demand for Indian brands in overseas markets.
Alongside Singh’s appointment, Britannia has promoted Rahul Mahajan from National Sales Head – General Trade to Vice President – Sales, effective April 1, 2026. Mahajan brings over 22 years of experience in sales, distribution and channel management within the FMCG industry.
Prior to Britannia, Mahajan held leadership roles at Marico, L’Oréal India, Mondelez International, Bharti Airtel, Bharti Teletech and JSW Dulux, building a broad-based understanding of consumer markets and retail execution across sectors.
The leadership changes underline Britannia’s strategic intent to strengthen both its international business ambitions and domestic market operations as the company navigates intensifying competition and evolving consumer demand in the global packaged foods industry.
