Burson Group, the global communications agency dedicated to creating value through reputation, has announced the appointment of Kapil Sharma as Chief Client Officer in India. The move reflects the firm’s continued focus on client excellence and reinforces its position as a strategic growth partner to leading businesses. Sharma will report directly to Deepshikha Dharmaraj, CEO of Burson Group India.

This appointment marks a homecoming for Sharma, who began his career at Burson as part of its prestigious Associate Learning Programme. With more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications and reputation management, he has worked extensively with global brands, shaping narratives and driving impactful campaigns.

Sharma’s most recent role was Director of Communications for Ford Motor Company’s International Markets Group, where he oversaw product communications across nine international markets. Based in Bangkok, he led integrated go-to-market initiatives and high-impact experiential campaigns, strengthening Ford’s brand presence across diverse geographies. Prior to this, he served as Head of Communications for Ford India, managing corporate, brand, social, and CSR communications.
