Tinder has unveiled its first major rebrand in a decade, introducing a bold new logo, refined flame icon, expressive serif typography and a motion system inspired by its swipe gesture. Developed with Porto Rocha, the refresh reflects evolving dating culture and marks a new chapter for the global app.

Tinder has introduced its most significant brand refresh in nearly ten years, unveiling a new visual identity developed in collaboration with design agency Porto Rocha. The overhaul includes a redesigned logo, expressive typography and an expanded motion system, marking a bold new chapter for one of the world’s largest dating apps.

The most striking change is the logo. Tinder has replaced its familiar lowercase wordmark with a bold, all-caps TINDER logo, while refining its flame icon into a sharper, cleaner silhouette that retains its recognisability. Complementing this is a new serif typeface designed to bring warmth and editorial character to the brand’s communication.

Beyond typography and logos, Tinder has expanded its visual language by transforming its signature swipe gesture into a motion design system that will feature across digital experiences and marketing assets. This evolution reflects the app’s ambition to remain culturally relevant while embracing the complexities of modern dating.

Daniel Kim, SVP, Tinder Asia | Match Group, commented: “Tinder’s first rebrand in almost a decade reflects how dating—and the way people approach connection—has evolved. Modern dating is full of contradictions. It’s exciting and vulnerable. Intentional and spontaneous. Hopeful and unpredictable. This rebrand marks the beginning of a new chapter for the brand in Asia—one that embraces the realities and inspires more meaningful moments that start on Tinder and come to life beyond it.”

Launched in 2012, Tinder revolutionised online dating with its swipe-based matching system, reshaping how people connect globally. Owned by Match Group, which also operates Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish and Meetic, Tinder today spans more than 190 countries and 45 languages, cementing its position as one of the world’s largest dating platforms.
