Royal Canin India has unveiled a nationwide campaign emphasising the importance of early life nutrition for puppies and kittens. Centred on the message “Love is the #1 ingredient, but your puppies & kitten need 35+ nutrients more,” the initiative combines veterinary partnerships, digital outreach and education to promote science-backed precise nutrition

Royal Canin India has launched a comprehensive 360-degree campaign to raise awareness about the critical role of early life nutrition in the health and wellbeing of pets. With the thoughtful provocation “Love is the #1 ingredient, but your puppies & kitten need 35+ nutrients more,” the initiative seeks to encourage pet owners to make informed feeding decisions based on research and veterinary guidance.

The campaign underscores the importance of regular veterinary consultations during the Start of Life stage, a period when puppies and kittens develop nearly 80 per cent of their immune system. Recognising this crucial window, Royal Canin has partnered with veterinarians through its Paediatric Veterinary Care Program to encourage new pet parents to schedule early visits. As part of the programme, first-time pet owners are offered free or discounted consultations, ensuring access to expert advice on nutrition, growth and preventive healthcare.

Satinder Singh, Managing Director of Royal Canin India, explained the philosophy behind the initiative: “Every pet owner wants to give their puppy or kitten the best possible care, and that journey begins with love. Through this campaign, we want to help pet owners understand that while home-cooked meals reflect care and affection, pets also need precise nutrition to support health needs throughout their lifetime, especially at the start of life. Our goal is to provide quality life to pets through awareness, education and guidance from veterinary experts.”

The campaign has been rolled out through a brand film aired across digital and social media platforms, supported by a digital outreach programme designed to facilitate veterinary clinic visits via the Paediatric Veterinary Care Program. By combining storytelling with practical support, Royal Canin aims to bridge the gap between emotional care and scientific nutrition, helping pet parents provide the best foundation for their companions.

This initiative reflects Royal Canin’s broader commitment to advancing the conversation around science-backed precise nutrition. By highlighting the need for more than just love in the early stages of a pet’s life, the campaign positions the brand as both a trusted partner and an advocate for informed, responsible pet care. In doing so, Royal Canin reinforces its mission to ensure that growing puppies and kittens not only thrive but enjoy healthier, happier lives supported by the right nutritional balance.
