American Tourister has launched a Harry Potter collection in India through a partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. Featuring Hogwarts-inspired school and travel gear for children under 10 and early teens, the range spans backpacks, luggage, and accessories, blending durability with self-expression at accessible price points.

American Tourister has unveiled a new Harry Potter collection in India, marking a collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products that brings Hogwarts-inspired school and travel gear to young fans. Timed with the start of the academic season, the launch introduces a wide assortment of backpacks, luggage, crossbody bags, drawstring pouches and stationery accessories across retail and online channels.

The collection is designed for two distinct age groups. For children under 10, the range includes Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry-themed school backpacks, lunch bags, pencil cases, drawstring pouches and hard-sided luggage. These products are infused with playful Harry Potter graphics, silicone zip pullers and interchangeable Velcro house badges, offering both functionality and personalisation. Select items also feature Quidditch-themed stickers and Crookshanks zip charms, adding a whimsical touch to everyday school essentials.

For early and pre-teens, the design language shifts to a more understated aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the four Hogwarts houses. Backpacks, crossbody bags, drawstring bags and luggage in this range balance durability with subtle nods to the wizarding world, appealing to older children who seek both style and practicality. Across both categories, coordinated accessories such as lunch bags, pencil cases and crossbody bags allow fans to create matching sets, reinforcing the lifestyle positioning of the collection.

Anushree Tainwala, Chief Business Officer of American Tourister India, highlighted the emotional resonance of the collaboration: “The Harry Potter universe is woven into the childhood memories of an entire generation of Indian parents, and now it belongs to their children too. This collaboration is our way of making that handover magical. Whether it is a first day at school or a family holiday, we want every child carrying this bag and accessories to feel like they are heading somewhere extraordinary.”

The Harry Potter x American Tourister collection is available across American Tourister retail stores, leading luggage and lifestyle retailers, Amazon and the brand’s official online channels. With prices starting at ₹250 for accessories, ₹1,690 for backpacks and ₹4,290 for luggage, the range offers options across varied price points, ensuring accessibility for families while maintaining the brand’s reputation for durability and design.

This launch reflects a broader trend in the Indian market where global brands are increasingly leveraging pop culture partnerships to deepen engagement with younger consumers. By combining the enduring appeal of Harry Potter with American Tourister’s expertise in functional travel and school gear, the collaboration positions itself as both a nostalgic nod for parents and a fresh, imaginative offering for children. It underscores how storytelling and design-led partnerships continue to shape consumer choices, particularly in categories where self-expression and practicality intersect.
