Anh Do has been appointed Global Head of Music at TBWA\Media Arts Lab, Apple’s dedicated creative agency. With a career spanning Google, Expedia and HBO, she will lead the agency’s worldwide music strategy, shaping sonic identity across diverse markets and reinforcing Apple’s deep connection to music in brand storytelling.
In the world of advertising, where sound often speaks louder than words, TBWA\Media Arts Lab has made a decisive move by appointing Anh Do as its Global Head of Music. Apple’s dedicated creative agency has long treated music as central to its brand identity, and Do’s arrival signals a fresh chapter in that tradition.
Do brings with her more than a decade of experience in music supervision, creative strategy and sonic branding. At Google Brand Studio, she became the company’s first in-house music supervisor, defining its global sonic identity and guiding campaigns that resonated across cultures. Before that, she held the role of Global Head of Music and Executive Creative Director at Expedia Group, overseeing sonic direction for Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo. Her work has also extended into film, notably as music supervisor on HBO’s The Stroll, which won the Sundance Jury Prize in 2023.
Her appointment reflects the increasing complexity of global music strategy. Every market hears differently, shaped by local listening cultures, licensing landscapes and the subtle signals a melody conveys in Seoul compared to São Paulo. Do will collaborate with MAL’s creative and strategy teams worldwide to navigate this terrain, ensuring Apple’s campaigns continue to strike the right chord across diverse audiences.
Brent Anderson, MAL’s global Chief Creative Officer, welcomed her with enthusiasm: “Music is woven extraordinarily deep into the fabric of the work we do for Apple. We have the most talented music team in the world spread across our MAL offices. Anh brings the precise sensibility, experience and hunger needed to lead that incredible team and together climb to dizzying heights.”
For Do, the appointment is both professional and personal. “I believe music can make you feel something before you fully know why,” she said. “That belief is a big part of what drew me to MAL. There’s a real care for craft here and an understanding of the subtle magic that can transform a piece of work. Music has always been part of Apple’s DNA, and I’m incredibly excited to join this team and help shape what music can bring to the work globally.”
Her arrival underscores Apple’s enduring belief that music is not just an accompaniment but a vital storytelling tool, capable of shaping emotion, identity, and memory. With Do at the helm, TBWA\Media Arts Lab is poised to amplify Apple’s sonic presence on the global stage.
